Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded Slated For Release This June

By Ishaan . April 22, 2013 . 8:30am

Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded, a remake of  Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, the very first game in the series, is slated for release this June on PC, MAC and Linux.

The game will be published by UIG Entertainment for £14.99 and is also planned for iOS platforms. It’s being developed by Replay Games.

Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded will have all new high-resolution, hand drawn art and animation, as well as expanded puzzles. Al Lowe and original writer Josh Mandel are onboard the project, and Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded also features a re-written musical score from BAFTA-winning composer Austin Wintory, featuring Al Lowe on the saxophone. Jan Rabson will be returning as the voice of Larry and has begun recording his lines for the game.

Following the release of Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded, Replay games plan to begin work on a remake of either the second Leisure Suit Larry game or a brand new Leisure Suit Larry 8. As of now, the developers say they are undecided as to which one they will attempt.

£14.99 is a bit much for me but highly interested. I remember trying to get through the year verification as a kid some years ago… I really hope to see a user friendly remake of 2,3,5. I fell in love with the series by a walkthrough of 6. But turned out that was the only decent playable game in the series after 1.

      After Box Office Bust…. Yeah.

Neat. One can hope that they manage to wash off the stigma the series got after the “new” Larry came and made things… awkward, to say the least. Not that I would KNOW as I haven’t really played those games, just heard things. Awkward things.
