Capcom have shared a new Lost Planet 3 video in Japan, providing a glimpse of the game’s multiplayer. Watch it below:

To date, Capcom have not detailed Lost Planet 3’s multiplayer options. However, they did announce pre-order bonuses for the game’s multiplayer modes, which includes HUNK from the Resident Evil series.

Following a recently announced delay, Lost Planet 3 is slated for release on August 27th in North America and August 30th in Europe for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Can’t wait! All I’m hoping for now is : no train level and a Wayne skin for multiplayer :D

  • Jordan

Looks okay. Still gonna play the game. : )

I really enjoyed LP2’s character designs. It had their own style.
LP3 looks terrible imo. Generic western style with snow atmosphere.

    • Luna Kazemaru

Because NEVEC’s and the snow pirate elites designs where not generic lol.and 3 of the designs in the game where just plain dumb and made no sense *cough* Vagabundos and jungle pirates *cough*

      • You take that back. The vagabundos were charming and delightful. Fiesta time!
If this game was just about them it would have more personality.

        • Luna Kazemaru

ok ok i went abit over board there the vagabundos where pretty funny but their ‘armor’ lol

  • So far I’m not liking part 3, part 2’s multiplayer was really fun this one looks like crap

    • Luna Kazemaru

So I take it you enjoyed spamming the energy rifle and sniper rifle the whole match yeah no 2’s MP was sad

      • First person I’ve met that didn’t like it

        • Luna Kazemaru

it was fun for awhile to everyone like i said started using energy guns and camping with snipers. Then the random lag spikes

  • kazdamaz

That distinct Japanese souls has been ripped out, replaced by this. LP2’s multiplayer is actually what made me buy the game that’s sad to see where this is going…

    • Alvin Lee

Exactly. If only people had seen advance combat techniques using the grappling hook they wouldnt have said that LP2 sucked. Maybe the setting is (too many human enemies) but the multiplayer was AWESOME. I seriously dont get it. Why change because of the American audience that dont know how to appreciate a good FPS?

      • Luna Kazemaru

when was LP2 a FPS lol and its pretty funny you think only American’s complained about the game LP2 MP and SP wasn’t that good.

  • GuyAlpha

I was secretly hoping that game was one of those cancelled games Capcom was talking about.

    • Zenthos

Is there anything good about a game being cancelled?

      • Well, if a bad game gets cancelled, it can mean a shorter time before another, possibly good game in the series can be made. Bad games can result in brand damage and make investors trepidatious.

  • Raltrios

Haha, I only just started the first game this afternoon. Not even joking. I’m enjoying it so far, but it feels a tad clunky, as I’d expect from the first in the series. But this new trailer here… it looks almost exactly the same as the first one feels. Has it not evolved at all?

  • Göran Isacson

Man, a Japanese trailer for the multiplayer? Not even a western one? they are REALLY sending this game out to die, aren’t they?

Wonder if the multiplayer has a robot versus robot mode. They said the bots would control a bit like Punch Out, and a Multiplayer punch out could be sorta fun.

  • Solomon_Kano

I skipped out on LP2, but I LOVED the first game’s MP. This looks… *sigh*. When will people stop giving their IP into the hands of Spark Unlimited!?!?
