Along with its new characters, Skullgirls is getting new stages, too. Two of these have been revealed so far. The first one is the River King Casino stage, concept art for which you can see above.

River King Casino is currently in production. The other stage is Meridian Rooftops, for which Lab Zero Games posted concept art this week. Here’s a look:

    That rooftop stage is 10/10

  • Wenzel

This gonna be the favorite stage for many people, including me.

  • Kenneth Richardson

Meridian Rooftops: Skullgirls Infinite. Really, doesn’t the rooftops stage remind you of BioShock?

  • Detrimont

am i the only one who thinks the rooftop one looks kind of boring at this stage?

    • AkuLord3

YUP~ but come on…you have to see finished/in action before you thing that

      • Detrimont

i did say “at this stage”, meaning i want to see the final version, it’s just that currently, it looks boring

  • Asura

I just want to see Woolie and Matt throwing cash and then picking it back up in the background.

  • Solomon_Kano

    They’re beautiful!

  • They both look beautiful, and I especially love the second one! I’m digging the bright, open-air aesthetic!

  • Christopher Nunes

Man those stages look awesome! I would like to see a step-by-step guide on making 2D background stages for fighting games!

It’s amazing and beautiful and I bet a lot of hard work to do!

Any news on the second character poll? I plan to vote for Minette and I hope she gets in!

    • Cellsai

This sounds like what you’re looking for:

It’s a really interesting look at the step by step of the design for Little Innsmouth, though it doesn’t show it being turned 3D.

The second character poll will be starting sometime between tomorrow night and Monday at the latest.

      Also, yes, vote Minette! :D

      • No to Minette. Yes to Aeon and/or Isaac!

      • Christopher Nunes

        Thank you!

        And go Team Minette!

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

It’s been pretty cool so far seeing their initial concepts all the way to more finalized pieces. Quite a bit goes into getting the image just right to capture as much of the fight and scenery together.

  • Man these stages are gorgeous! I’m glad they got the amount of donation money they did, because it seems like a wise investment. Can’t wait to get my Squiggly on this July!

  • Really liking these stages. Great job guys! =^_^=
