merely a glimpse of the badassery that is Slade Wilson

  • Ferrick

deathstroke and deadshot in one game, and in one trailer ?! ALL OF MY YES!

  • Spirit Macardi

Darn it, Deathstroke isn’t voiced by Ron Perlman. You’d think after getting Conroy and Hamill for the other Arkham games they could pull in another iconic voice for one of the key characters.

    • Solomon_Kano

Especially since they even got him back for the Flashpoint animated movie.

    • agreed… Only reason I can think they didn’t get any iconic voices is due to the younger ages of the cast this time.

      • Solomon_Kano

Well, we don’t exactly know how old Perlman’s Slade was, so he could’ve came back.

        • Before DC rebooted, Slade seemed grizzled. I think he was pushing 50s. In Teen Titans, I couldn’t see his face or hair. I always thought of him as in his late 30s. Which makes the sex he had with Terra all kinds of wrong (which happened in the comics).

  • Solomon_Kano

That was awesome as hell. If I could only tell you how hyped I am for this game.

I’d have liked to see Perlman appear as Deathstroke (especially since DC got him back for The Flashpoint Paradox), but this guy’s fine. Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker as Bats and the Joker, respectively, should be interesting. Especially since Conroy’s confirmed he’s been working on “the next Arkham” for the last 9-10 months. Who the hell is he gonna be!?

    • Maybe there’s some dialogue at the end of the game where they flash forward to the older Bats after the game’s over. But I doubt that’d take months to do. Troy Baker as Joker? WTF?! Are any of the voices gonna be a reprising?

      • Solomon_Kano

Conroy tweeted that he’s returning for another Arkham game, not Origins. Sooo… next-gen Arkham from Rocksteady? Hell yes.

I’d imagine whoever provided Alfred’s voice will be returning, Nolan North should be back as Penguin, and anyone else from AC is probably back. Mark Hamill said AC would be his last a while back though.

        • Ferrick

hopefully Oliver queen would make an appearance in this one = D (did you spot the queen industries logo ? =D)

          • Solomon_Kano

Yea, when I saw that logo I got hyped. I reeeeeeally hope we see Merlyn as one of the assassins.

            Now get to watching Arrow!

          • Olie might be talked of, but I doubt he’ll show in full. Most JLA characters will likely be seen in later games since this is before they meet.

        • Nolan North was a surprisely good Penguin.
Even though we lost Hamill I hope Conroy continues with Bats at least until the Arkham games are done (and I hope he still does any Batman animated movies too).

          • Solomon_Kano

Conroy’s definitely sticking around, so nothing to worry about there. In animation, who can say? They seem to pick a different Batman voice each time they do a movie, so I just roll with it. He’ll always be Batman in my heart lol.

  • Jesse Torres

This game is officially on my future games to get, it is a piece of masterful art.

  • Göran Isacson

So was that guy with the electronic eyepatch Deadshot? Man oh man, is this game ever thick with the DC-assassin love… although there’s not a lot of the game to go on here, I am at least sort of stoked before the possibilities of Batman versus all these (relatively) human-level opponents.

    • Solomon_Kano

      Yep, that was Deadshot.

  • Badass. Entirely.
Is that hoodlum who tells his partner to check the fuses a voice actor form Arkham City? He sounds like one of the Blackgate inmates that talked about Catwoman liking Poison Ivy.

    • Solomon_Kano

Probably. I’d imagine they probably just called up the same folks for some more random thugs.

      • I kinda liked that accent they had. Seemed like NY and Jersey mixed.

  • I want to see Great White Shark in this one too. I first heard of him at all in AA. Another villain I think needs more play in the games, Time King. Like how Riddler left ? around Gotham, Time King could set up timed rescue missions, forcing Bats to disarm bombs or lead hostages away from danger before they blow. Maybe, on that note, we’ll see more of Hugo Strange this time too (maybe even a fight with him and Bats).

    • Solomon_Kano

Great White Shark would be… great. And you mean Clock King, not Time King. One of my favorite characters from Batman: The Animated Series.

      • Was he originally created for the animated series or from the comics?

        • Solomon_Kano

Hm… both. To be clear, there was a Clock King in the comics, but the one in the show was created specifically for the show.
