  • KingGunblader

Looks like i’ll be playing Deus Ex for the first time!

  • Virevolte

I have nothing against the idea of PS Plus, but… aren’t the games released too late ? I found Virtue’s Last Reward amazing, but it feels like I’ve beat the game ages ago.
Too bad, I would’ve been interrested.

    • XiaomuArisu

      Bioshock2,Catherine,Hitman Absolution,Borderlands,Darksiders,etc.
There will be a month with games for you.Just wait a little.

      • TheExile285

Catherine was on PS Plus? Dammit! I guess I missed it. Signed up around November of last year…

        • Aoshi00

I think Catherine & Hitman Absolution were only on EU PSN Plus last month (I thought I missed them too but I check every Tues). The other games had been free on US PSN.. The thing is the free games they offer, chances are I alrdy bought on 360.. also the full game d/l are so big my PS3 HDD is constantly running out of room, if a game is 15Gb like Infamous 2, you need at least 30Gb to d/l it plus install.. all the PS Vita games I bought as well.. sometimes I’m not sure why I still keep renewing PS Plus, they’re really tempting people w/ these games and $10 back though. I still have like 2 yrs, hope both PS Plus and Xbox Live would both continue to PS4 & XBox One..

    • Vesperion

If these games came out any sooner it would just give people the excuse not to buy them at all, The sales of our smaller games like Virtue’s Last Reward would just suffer even more.

    • sandra10

If they put the games on Plus soon after release or even on release, how would Aksys make money? This is to get any laggards onboard who maybe didn’t know of the game or whether or not they should play it.

      • Virevolte

As a customer, I don’t see why I should care about that. For me, the games are released too late on Ps+, so I’m not really interrested in it. That’s just one silly opinion about it.

        • sandra10

Your mistake is in thinking you’re the target audience, then.

          • Virevolte

I’m not thinking that. I was just saying that this delay was the reason preventing me from suscribing. Eventually, I could have been in the target audience, since the games are interresting me. I’m not thinking we have to be comprehensive about the way money is made in that business too.
‘not trying to anger you, though.

          • Mr_SP

PS Plus is like budget sales. Budget sales don’t start on the *first day of release*. That’s just bad business.

          • sandra10

            I’m not angry. :)

    • neo_firenze

You have to understand that PS Plus isn’t generally going to get brand new games (not that VLR is THAT old, it just came out at the end of October 2012). They need to make money, and releasing brand new games for free isn’t a very good way to do that.

Doesn’t mean PS Plus isn’t good for players though, it gives people a chance to try something out of their usual comfort area or something they might have missed. Or for people who aren’t concerned with playing the most current new releases, they can get some great games.

From the publisher’s perspective, it’s a chance to build up some new fans. It’s a way for people to try Virtue’s Last Reward, and if they end up liking it they might be willing to buy sequels or similar games.

its never too late to play zero escape NEVER!!!!

  • XiaomuArisu

I got these on the europe psplus some months ago.
    Both are great games!
    Play them and enjoy them!

  • idrawrobots

Hope there aren’t many people on this site that need to still be told to play Virtue’s Last Reward.

    • TheExile285

It’s a Visual Novel style puzzle game. That doesn’t automatically appeal to everyone. I was going to buy it eventually because I heard great things about the story but Im not big on puzzles. Depending on how much I like it when I play it on PS Plus, I will buy a physical copy.

      • psycho_bandaid

        *slaps himself*

Sorry, I get weird when talking about this game. A great series that admittedly probably doesn’t appeal to everyone. Requires a lot of time if you want to know everything, but actually shouldn’t take too long if you ignore the secret files. Got the platinum in about 50 hours and you could probably shave a good 10 hours off due to looking for secret files and grabbing bad endings for kicks.

    • The-Beast

I was on the fence about getting this for my 3DS a while ago. Well, I’m glad I bought a Vita and even more that I signed for PS plus, really awesome service.

  • Kevadu

When I see stuff like this sometimes I wonder why I even buy games on release instead of just waiting for them to be on PS Plus…it’s not like I particularly care about playing games on release. And given the size of my backlog it’s not like I need new stuff to play…

  • transferstudentx

great now everyone can enjoy zero escape and buy the next game and the first game like i did with the first

    • Mr_SP

I enjoyed VLR when it came out on PS Plus in Europe not too long ago. Now waiting for 999 in the mail.

      • Detrimont

enjoy getting to know 3 of the VLR characters better(technically 4)

        • Mr_SP

Shhh! It’s only two! Two characters from 999 are in VLR!

          • Detrimont

fine, i wont spoil the other 2, but i’m guessing you’re just meaning clover and All-Ice(Alice)

          • Mr_SP

Of course I am! They’re the only ones that were announced. Don’t give away the entire plot. It’s needlessly cruel.

          • Detrimont

the technically character i meant was alice, and it’s not my fault you played them out of order, and if you’ve played VLR, there shouldnt be spoilers

          • Mr_SP

Not for me. I know exactly who you’re talking about. But what you’re suggesting are things that people who haven’t played VLR aren’t supposed to know about. It’s counterproductive to list plot elements of a mystery novel without giving people the chance to look away.

          • Detrimont

i havent said who the characters are though, so there are no spoilers

  • Kitestwinblades

Everything on my “To Play” list gets slowly nabbed by PS+!
I almost cant believe how much I have for free on the vita right now, let alone the PS3. This is fantastic!

  • Yan Zhao

Finally, a GOOD batch of free PS+ games. Always wanted to play Virtue;s last reward. Now I can :D

  • benhofb

Okay, to the people who haven’t played VLR yet, this is the perfect opportunity to play seriously one of the best games of 2012.

  • redhood56

This is great for Virtue’s Last Reward to get more attention!

  • Glad I bought a PS+ *-*

  • LynxAmali

I was going to buy that too.

    So glad I waited..

  • Christopher Nunes

I JUST became a Playstation Plus member a few days ago and this is a sweet deal! Definitely getting Virtue’s Last Reward… I have been interest in it.

How good is Deus Ex Human? I might get that.

  • gamefreak86

Dayum!! Fuckin love ps+! Got it and vita in November. No regrets.

  • redhotrash

Hmm, for some reason when I go into the PS store on my vita, it doesn’t show Zero Escape as being free even though I’m a Plus member. Kind of new to this (though I’ve gotten other games offered for free before). Can anyone help?
