Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is headed to Europe this year. The game will be published by Marvelous AQL Europe in a marketing and distribution partnership with Zen United.

A New Beginning is the first Harvest Moon game developed specifically for the Nintendo 3DS. The game includes a brand new customization feature that lets you pick a male or female character at the start of the game, and customize their looks as well as the placement of your farm.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning will be available in Europe in Q3 2013. You can read Siiconera’s playtest of the game here.

I wonder why Rising Star aren’t dealing with the series any more, from what we’ve heard it was generally profitable for them and evidently there’s still life in it if someone else is picking it up.

And seeing as that someone is Zen United, I guess I can safely ignore announcements for these games for anywhere between six months to a year.

I do have to wonder what prompted Rising Star to drop the franchise, but it’s not like Harvest Moon has ever been promptly localised.

    • Samurai_Heart

I believe there was tweet from Rising Star that said they were too late in obtaining the game’s rights somewhere =/

      • SirRichard

Ah, really? That’s a shame, here’s hoping they manage to fill the gap somehow.

  • Mordina

Whee! Finally I get to play it!

  • Chim_era

…. please Zen United don’t screw this one up too.
This time there’s NO WAY we’ll forgive you :'(

  • Dylan Neill

Oh i’m sure it will be.

Any word on what languages this will be localized in? Just english, multi-3, or multi-5?

    • TheMasterHam

From what ive heard its just a clone of the US version.

Europe deserved this since a long time…
    Better late then EVER…

Oh God, not those sons of bitches; Zen United! They’re the reason why I’ve decided to wait until Persona 4 Arena goes down in price to £20 or less because of the near year-long wait for the damn game!
