Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, the PSP RPG with an MMORPG setting in the upper floors of the Aincrad dungeon, featuring a variety of weapons and also a dating system feature, has reportedly shipped over 200,000 units since its release on March 14th.

In addition, Namco Bandai have released a new patch for the game that adds a New Game mode.

Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment’s website was recently updated with the message “Over 200,000 units shipped!!” In our previous sales report back in April, the game’s total sales numbers were at 191,444 units sold.

New Game mode can be unlocked by completing the game. This mode will feature tougher monsters at a much higher level.

Here’s a look at the tweaks brought by the patch to bring a better balance to the game:

  • Non-heroine players’ SP consumption has been increased, and their usage rate of Sword Skills have been increased.

  • One-handed Club and Katana damage rates have been increased, and One-handed Club’s SP consumption has been decreased.

  • Battle Skill SP consumption has been lowered.

  • Battle Skill effects durations have been adjusted.

The purpose of the patch is to bring more replay value to the game, in a much higher level challenge for those who’ve already beat it.

Cant wait to get all four sets of the Sword Art Online Blu Ray discs from Aniplex this summer and fall/winter. .

Anyway great news for this game!

    • For $90 each?! I applaud you, brother, for having money like that…

  • Senshin

Yeah, cool, coolz…But….For the Japaneses, right? ¬¬’

  • Kelohmello

Meh. I played the game, I guess people like it but I can’t say I did, it feels really slow. Still, it was a game that had alot of potential so I hope they make a sequel with improved gameplay.

  • David García Abril

I was in Japan recently and I bought the game.

It’s basically a low-budget “Xenoblade” with copious amounts of dungeon crawling, with the good and bad things that implies.

Although I haven’t been able to check yet if you can pull off “a 16.5”, if you know what I mean (and if you have followed the light novels, you will know).

    • GH56734

      As in… ecchi?
      In the PSP game? How??

      • DyLaN

Its not rated CERO D IIRC so at most it will only be implied and you won’t get to see anything.

    • JeremyTMH

Just complete the quest for remarrying Asuna and you’ll get your implied action. >.>

    • TyeTheCzar

No glopping scenes? Just more evidence it’s just another licensed cash-in. I’ll just go back to watching parodies like Bored Art Online.

  • transferstudentx

holy did the anime do that good its great anime yes but the game eh not so great

  • Will John

“The Eclipse” is a disappointment, I regret grinding up to it….

  • Meh. I didn’t liked the anime that much so I’m not really hoping for this game to come out in America. If it does, sure I’ll get it, but if not I’ll just get other games.

    • Renaldi Saputra

      it’s Namco Bandai and PSP
so the chance is pretty low

  • Jahred Down

So, does the game start off good then get terribly mediocre towards the end?

    • JeremyTMH

It’s really for the fans more than anything. The game CAN get tedious…

    • DyLaN

If you liked the series and can read jap, if pretty interesting especially the character interaction. The 1st meeting with Sinon and Leafa is priceless XD

  • Aristides

it be nice if someone localized it lol

  • DyLaN

The pic on the top looks like good wallpaper material. Any1 knows is there a larger ver of it?

  • Crimson_Cloud

I wouldn’t mind playing the game, even though I think that second season didn’t live up to the hype. Well, for me anyway…

  • Holylifestar

I hope it comes to the US so bad >,<

  • s07195

So what would the version number of the game be? XD
Sounds like maintainence for an online game. XD

  • Somina

Can anyone tell me where can I find this new patch ?
(I never use Internet with my PSP so I’m a little lost ^^’ )
