This Touch Screen RPG Has Quite The Complex Combat System

Indie developer Pixel Hero Games have released an action RPG for iOS devices titled Spiral—or more accurately, Spiral Episode 1, implying there will be more episodes in the future. Being an iOS RPG, Spiral’s battle system is controlled entirely using the touch screen. Here’s a tutorial that shows how it works:

 

 

Spiral has explorable environments, and four Arena Modes in addition to its story mode, where you can gain experience to unlock new abilities and weapons. The game costs $5.

    Maybe this company will become a rival to Kemco, like Enix and Square were once. Then the smartphone gaming will become more and more hardcore.

    Also, goddammit, iOS has some actually good graphics, but I still can’t move with touch screens. Too awkward…

    Kinda curious about the length of the game with those style graphics and that price tag. I have access to an ipad and would think about trying this, but not if it is a 3 hour affair or has extreme, artificial length extenders.
