Wait, isn’t this Europe’s 3rd demo? Wasn’t there a Ghost n Goblins one earlier? And where is that one for America?

Well, not like it matters to me since I got the game itself at launch xD. Although GS screwed me and didn’t give me my pre-order bonus! D:<

    • Aunna Terrell

iirc, Dark Hours IS the Ghosts ‘n Goblins demo.

      • mojack411

        Ah, that would make sense.

  • Raltrios

Seems kind of late. I’ve already started playing my copy, but I suppose it might still help people who are on the edge. Not that I can really recommend it yet, with what I’ve played so far.

    • Same. I nailed down 8 hours of gameplay already, and I’m thoroughly glued to it. I’m still passing along the word to those that haven’t made a decision yet, though.

      • bonafide

I really wish I could say the same. So far I’ve found the game very linear since there’s basically nothing interesting to do in-between stages. There’s no way to go back to the maps you’ve completed or do any random battles, and you don’t even have the choice of which teams to use for the stages. That’s a bit of a problem because some of my teams are lagging behind while the enemies are pulling ahead as far as levels go.

It’s still relatively fun despite various other issues, but ehh… I was expecting more besides the allure of having so many well-known characters.

        • Best thing I can tell you is forget there’s a story and keep in mind that pretty much EVERY fight is structured the exact same with more enemies and a bigger gap in level every go round.

Only thing I care about is breaking the combo and fighting system, which is the crack of the game. Kinda like how I play Duodecim endlessly even though I really wasn’t a fan of the general story. At least that has 2P to keep me going online.

    • RisukuAozora

Well they did have ONE demo before the release. To me, it wasn’t the deal breaker with making me go “I need this game now!”
Maybe this 2nd one could help, but it really should’ve come out sooner.

  • Learii

I don’t need the demo anymore I already got the game

  • Go2hell66

People are already playing the full game, dont need demos anymore

  • Musashi234

Lol Too Late for this already HAVE IT!!!!

  • hawk222

Only two people in that picture have standard swords. .__.

    • AuraGuyChris

Only one. Gemini can’t make her sword grow larger with light power unlike Yuri.
…Geez, this sounds so dirty for some reason.

      • J_Joestar

She can still shoot massive fireballs from it though

      • hawk222

True, but they’re still standard swords, right? I mean, aside from the abilities of their wielders.

  • ZEROthefirst

Not sure why they were so slow to release the 2nd demo. It would’ve made more sense to get the demo out before release to get more potential immediate buyers/pre-orders. I’m sure more people would have been happy to get the bonuses for pre-ordering this.

Doesn’t bother me that much anyways since I already have my copy anyways lol

    • Shizumasa

Not over here in the EU, no LE and no special pre-order bonusses. So far I like the demo but I wouldn’t want to buy it immediately on release.

      • ZEROthefirst

I can see what you mean. My biggest reason for getting the game on launch for for the bonuses that came with pre-ordering it (mostly for the little bonus soundtrack). Otherwise I would have waited a while before picking the game up.

        • Shizumasa

Sucks that I can’t import it.

  • Anime10121

Welp, too late, already bought the game! :P

  • Jesse

Kind of odd to release it in North America NOW, but oh well.

  • andref

I love how frank west always has to take erotica photos of all the female villains he meets

    • PERFECT!!!

And he’s also paired with Hsien-ko/Lei-Lei. Quite possibly the best combo.

    • J_Joestar

      T-elos : I’ll Kill you
      *totally worth it*

  • LightGenx

Still torn on this. Enjoyed the first demo but have been hearing mixed things about the game.

    • J_Joestar

If you liked the game play and the roster in general, it is worth it just for that.
You would be a fool to expect a super detailed dramatic story (which seems to be an issue with some people) from a crossover this big.

personally, the character interactions alone make up for any weaknesses in the general plot.

  • Brimfyre

I was trying to think if a Crossover couldn’t actually exist in any of these games universes, in that it would be too ridiculous, and I couldn’t think of one. I think all these properties are just campy enough where this crossover could be canon in all their respective worlds.

Xenosaga might be the most serious of the bunch, but Kos Mos and Telos have already crossed over multiple times and make references to their previous jumps so it makes it seem more canon.

MAYBE Resident Evil, but it has gotten pretty bizarre and far fetched as of late so I wouldn’t put this past the realm of possibility.

    • Time Sage

a .hack crossover still doesn’t make much sense. the games are set in an mmorpg so the charcters we see are just charcters in universe.

      • Brimfyre

At least they make reference in the game of that being weird, in that they don’t know whats happening to their real bodies.

Or perhaps it adds another layer to the .hack World that Harald Hoerwick was like a God and created a living breathing actual universe and not just a video game.

But yeah I agree that one is a sticky one to get around.

        • Or maybe the game you’re playing right now is actually a game and all the other characters don’t know it and actually are playing as themselves in a game they’ve completely become comatosed. Gameception!

          • J_Joestar

yeah, a lot of the early .hack scenes were so meta.

Still LOL that Xiaomu apparently plays the game on her off time.

  • dragoon_slayer12

The shoulder released this demo last Thursday, to help raise awareness. I been playing this nonstop since Tuesday night, and I’m just dying to get X and Zero. Definitely the best SRPG I’ve played (and I’ve played a lot)

  • THAT Sänger Zonvolt!

  • Solomon_Kano

    • KnifeAndFork

I also have translated Namco X Capcom and you don’t. nyaa nyaa

      • Solomon_Kano

        Why!? ;_;

      • Haseyo

Implying that iso is extremely hard to Google. It doesn’t take a good computer to run it.

  • SetzerGabbiani

I came when Sanger Zonvolt first introduced himself in the game.

Anyway, I’m loving the game very much, but I also liked SRTOG:EF so this is not a surprise. What is a surprise is how many of the characters from series I haven’t played have piqued my interest in those games. I finally opened my PS2 copy of Sakura Wars because of the game. I’m now really interested in God Eater, Resonance of Fate, Valkyria Chronicles, and Tales of Vesperia; Project X Zone is a great marketing tool for these games.

Also, the dialogue is hilarious at times despite the crap story. Frank West and Kaguya Nanbu….that is all, LOL!

  • KnifeAndFork

Europe huh? oh well whatever I bought the game yesterday anyway via DD

  • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

It’s a shame Mark Gatta, Reuben Langdon and the others aren’t dubbing this game.

  • Yan Zhao

Who in their right mind wouldnt buy this, that they would need another demo AFTER the game is out?

If you’re a fan of any games from these big 3 companies you should buy it. Dont make Harada’s hard work of bringing this game to us end up in bad sales.

  • Guest

The first demo was awesome. I hate how the demos have limited uses though, I’d play them over and over until I get the extra cash I need to buy this game.
