Interceptor Entertainment (the developer behind the new Rise of the Triad game) and 3D Realms have teamed up to put the Duke Nukem platformers on Steam.

The Duke Nukem Platformer Pack costs $9.99, and contains three games. You can either buy the entire bundle or purchase each of the games separately at the following prices:

Duke Nukem 1 ($2.99)

Duke Nukem 2 ($2.99)

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project ($5.99)

Uhm, I might pay $3 for both the original platformers, but individually it sounds a bit too much. I played the sharewares back in my days, they are okay but not terribly good either (it also “solves” the PC’s typical scrolling weakness by having no scrolling at all… looks pretty bad in motion). The series really didn’t break out until Duke Nukem 3D.

I’m not sure how interested you are in GOG, but the service is currently holding a Summer Sale (which lasts until Friday) during which nearly the entire catalogue is 50% off. And since Duke Nukem 1 and 2 are bundled together (and thus normally cost $6), you can get them both for exactly $3.

I noticed. That’s much better for sure.
