Squares shown everything about this game…….cept the release date…I need to get my hands on my alltime fav game in HD and waste 100+ hrs on it again!

    • http://www.angelmassb.co.nr/ Angel Mass

      December 31st

  • MakoSoldier7

    looks…worse..

    • MakoSoldier7

holy down-vote! sorry people, just my opinion, i wish it was the other way around, because this is one of my most treasured gaming experiences!

      • komiko12

Hah. You underestimated the power of anonymous downvoting.

        • MakoSoldier7

haha even my frantic explanation got down votes *cue to zanarkand as i weep in the fetal position

  • Chris Yuen

    Tidus’s laugh. Now in high-definition.

  • TheExile285

Just so people don’t get confused, the LE is only announced for the PS3 version.

  • Suriel Cruz

For those who weren’t so sure about this, after this trailer, they’ll probably pre-order this. ^ ^

Only thing that bugs me in the HD Remaster are the models, they have dead eyes… without emotion… the SD version looks kind better…

    • Sergio Briceño

It’s good to know I’m not alone in this. But everything else looks beautiful, for a PS2 remaster that is. It even looks better than some early Xbox360/PS3 RPGs.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

Awkward blinking about halfway through that trailer.

    • abysswalker

Oh man that scene totally made my day LOL

  • Chiupon

    Yuna’s still gorgeous.

  • Eric Harris

    original color looked better.

    • ChatKnight

It kinda looks like they buffed all the textures, but didn’t really make any changes to the lighting/shading. The campfire casts an orange glow on the models in SD that’s conspicuously absent from the HD.

  • X_Bacon

Nice sync on that blinking there…

  • AuraGuyChris

I think Tidus was affected by the comparison that he now blinks unevenly.

Also, I have mixed feelings for the HD version. On one hand, the environments look polished. On the other hand, the character models look a liiiiiiittle too realistic, which then look unrealistic.

  • Godmars

Funny how they seem to have put the videos sides by side, yet out of sync.

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

The original Final Fantasy X had a lot of lip sync issues. I think the PAL version was ever worse and even the forced laugh scene was out of sync

    • Dan’s Photo-Genesis

Ya when I seen the part with Tidus blinking, I thought he looked a little drunk.

  • http://www.flavors.me/ericgornicki Eric Gornicki

It looks so much better! You can’t deny it! It’s right on our faces! I’m buying this for sure! SE give us the fu***** release date NOW!

  • Tom_Phoenix

I knew it! She has been hiding it for all these years, but Yuna has now revealed her true identity! She is actually….Two-Face!

  • Lavitz

    Wow it looks great!

  • Raharu95

Now I see what you guys mean… Color change in Tidus’ hair really is noticeable >_~

  • LDM

This video has brought back nostalgic memories of my high school years. It was my first PS2 game along with Silent Hill 2 back in Christmas 2001/January 2002. Now, I am looking forward to playing it on my PS3.

  • Jake Caro

The HD Tidus kind of freaks me out..

  • Altumn

I do not like his skin tone and hair color as much as the first. I couldnt tell as much with the other casts… but I feel like they’re trying to make Tidus whiter then the original. Like Dissidia and his actual White skin tone.

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

It’s hard to notice considering the scene is a sunset so they could be using a different lightning. When compared with the other characters Nomura designed for Dissidia, Tidus has a notably darker skin.

      • Altumn

True, it could have been the lighting; yet Its a different tone almost altogether, not really a different shade.
And look at Jecht… They should be about the same in skin tone and well, they’re not. And Tidus actually is just as tan as Squall and Firion.

  • Kevadu

To Zanarkand remains one of the greatest pieces ever composed for any video game. That’s all I have to say about that trailer.

  • David García Abril

Now I know enough Japanese to understand Tidus’ infamous catch phrase in the original Japanese… and see how much they changed it.

Literally he says: “This might be the end, so I want to tell everything”.

I’d have to play the rest of the game in Japanese to see how it fits inside the script.

    • Aoshi00

I played both the Jpn & US ver back on PS2, I don’t think they changed the dialogue very much.. the most noticeable being Yuna’s last line to Tidus.. but then again I never play and compare them side by side.. the cast’s voices were very different like for Yuna and Wakka.. Eng Yuna had a deeper voice and Wakka had a funny Jamaica-like accent for his island origin. Both the Jpn/Eng dub are very special to me.. Seymour by Suwabe Jun’ichi was way cool :) so looks like double-dipping again.. really can’t wait to replay one of my faves, to revisit all the unique locales on Spira in HD.. alrdy pre-ordered even w/o the bonus.

  • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

Wow, you can really tell the difference between the two. I think it looks beautiful and just fine in HD.

  • http://radiantloki.blogspot.com/ Mark Dinh

    Dual audio? o_o

  • Masengan

I think Tidus looks ugly in HD, his nose makes him look too different.

  • Ronldbx6

Is it just me or do the faces in the SD version look better? The HD ones are missing that warmth and glow :(

  • natchu96

Plot Twist: They haven’t finished animating the left half of the screen

  • Virevolte

Strange… it’s fine for everyone else, but Tidus-HD seems more ugly than his SD self to me. Maybe because of the change in the skin color and something with his eyes…

  • WhyWai

while HD looks nicer and crisper… I prefer the character models of SD version…

  • Steven Higgins

I think it looks much better, Rikku has fingers, and Tidus’s tan looks more natural. I did notice that the light of the sun set doesn’t seem to be present, (which may be why his skin looks more natural) but that could just be that they havn’t added the finial lighting yet.

  • Romored

I already own the original game on PS2, so I don’t want another home version. But I may buy it on Vita, if it comes out. I’m starting to prefer portable games for turn based jrpgs.

  • Mister_Nep

Is the Vita version quietly cancelled? The newest trailer doesn’t advertise it, the official website doesn’t mention it at all, and it only advertises a pre-order for the PS3 version. I can’t find it to pre-order on amazon.

  • Göran Isacson

Kinda strange that Tidus seems to be paler in the HD version… also ha ha, them uncoordinated eyelids.
