Ubisoft have shared a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV, depicting a pirate’s life on the high seas. You can watch the trailer below:

As previously reported, Assassin’s Creed IV is set in the 18th century. Edward Kenway is a young British private for the Royal Navy, and falls into piracy as the war between the major empires ends. Kenway then finds himself part of an ancient war between templars and assassins, and journeys throughout the West Indies during the course of the game’s story, which will feature famous pirates like Blackbeard and Charles Vane.

Ubisoft have also revealed a collector’s edition of the game for North America, which will be available for $130 on all platforms, except for Wii U. It will include the following items:

  • A copy of the game
  • An 18" Assassin statue featuring Captain Edward Kenway
  • An embroidered 28"x 48" iconic Assassin’s Creed pirate flag with crest
  • Exclusive 80-page art book
  • Steelbook game case and game soundtrack

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is slated for release this fall on PC as well as all current and next-gen consoles. The PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U versions will be available on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe.

Miniartbook is an odd choice. After the release of The Last of US, one would expect the industry to move towards including full artbooks in special editions. Kind of disappointed with this one.

    Will get the regular one.

I tend to stuck with Japanese game Limited Editions. Although if you play the wait game these LEs usually go down in price.
