I hope this’ll last for a while longer– i’m still expecting my game to arrive this week..!

    • RoxasTheUnknown1

The free stuff is for 1 month.

      • Rishtopher

Thanks for that bit of news. I was worried my copy wouldn’t get here in time.

      • Karmistral

        BLESS YOU

      • JustThisOne

oh god oh god oh god

I have one month to buy this game. Thank you so much. *__*

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

      me toooooooooooooooooooooo

  • MyBodyIsReady

I hope this game doesn’t get riddled with paid DLC. I hate that. Fire Emblem got out of hand.

Not that it matters to me much right now, as a European I’m just sat here waiting until who knows when…

    • RoxasTheUnknown1

SMT IV doesnt have THAT much. xD

      • MyBodyIsReady

No I know, and that’s good. But will they add more paid DLC in future? More things like that fairy above?

That kinda stuff just makes me want to wait for GOTY editions…

        • RoxasTheUnknown1

Doubt it. All the DLC demons that are not bosses are pallet swaps. They already stated they were done with the demons. Costumes, I dunno.

        • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

Leave a message…SMT doesnt get GOTY editions

          • MyBodyIsReady

*Sigh* Yes, I know. I was making a point.

          • Fidelis

Nocturne did, somewhat. Though that was the only version to be released in the West. Original didn’t have Amala

    • transferstudentx

i couldnt handle the hype and ended up buying the us game even though i dont have a us 3ds xD

      • cirE

There’s no such thing as NTSC and PAL with the 3DS. All versions of the system run at the same resolution and amount of frames per second, they’re just locked to play games from a specific region.

with that said, you do realize you won’t be able to actually play the game without a North American 3DS, right?

        • transferstudentx

yea i know i just buy another copy for the pal

    • puppypizza

That was the reason I never got Fire Emblem. And was the reason I canceled my SMT4 preorder last month. :( Just cannot support all of this paid DLC on top of a game that already broke the $40 ceiling.

      • Andres Pena

no offense, but thats a very stupid reason for not getting two of the best rpg’s out there….just dont buy the dlc….

        • puppypizza

The other two 3DS games I own that even do something similar to DLC (MH3U and Layton) give out free updates. I like to reward companies that appreciate their customers, and I don’t think that’s stupid at all.

          • Vincent Chin

Buy the game and if you like the DLC get it, if you dont like it dont get it. FE and SMT 4 are very good games. You can even watch the DLCs on youtube to see what you have missed out. Your excuses really make you sound like a cheapskate.

          • puppypizza

I’m a cheapskate for expecting a $50 (!) 3DS game to not ask for even more? For not supporting games that cost more in DLC than the actual game (Fire Emblem)? I guess I’ll have to wear that title then. I already have to deal with DLC bleeding away content from PC and console games; I don’t want it on my handhelds too, thank you very much.

And it’d be a bit redundant to get the DLC if I had to have enjoyed it first. Unless you mean to say that the same level of enjoyment can be had from watching a video, in which case I’d ask, why then charge for it?

          • Andres Pena

still dumb its not like they are forcing you to buy the dlc, its just there if you want it, oh and have you ever wondered how much money they spend to produce dlc? The free dlc is usually content thats already in the game but unlocked with the download, but whatever its your gamer life thats missing out..

          • puppypizza

I guess we’ll have to disagree then. I regret missing out on this game, but I cannot in good conscience support companies going down the paid DLC path. And money is the only language they’ll understand. I hope you’ll understand, since I didn’t expect or want to be put on trial here.

Though from the other comment, maybe I can just live the experience through watching videos on YouTube.

          • Schezo Wegey

You do know that most game companies now have DLC paid or otherwise? So you would be dropping pretty much every system and new gen games so far.

  • Muffum

I want the White Samurai armor because it looks nice, but I don’t want the associated stat boosts. Decisions, decisions.

    • KuroNathan

ugh, same. I wish more games had a costume slot option.

      • Corginand

        Kind of like… (don’t kill me, please)… P4:G?

        • KuroNathan

          I liked P4:G though D:

  • mwatcher

Atlus treating hardcore customers right with the free dlc and the club nintendo deal….can’t say the same for most publishers.

    • http://denpanosekai.blogspot.com denpanosekai

Yep just got my 30$. It’s all going back on FE + SMT4 DLC, as well as one of the new Spotpass games. I’m hoping for more similar deals! Perhaps something with Bravely Default and…. Dragon Quest 7?

      • mwatcher

I’ll be using the $30 for the new Ace Attorney game.

      • Fidelis

I really suspect this was something of a one time thing to raise awareness for two relatively niche franchises that were going to crossover.

“Hey, if I get these two games, I get 30 bucks? All right! They don’t look too bad”

        -A year later-

“Hey! It’s a crossover featuring my two new favorite franchises!”

    • MrTyrant

How is that exactly? I was wondering, I have the FE digital version and I never entered to Club Nintendo before haha. Im still waiting for my physical copy of SMT IV.

      • mwatcher
      • revenent hell

Im waiting for my copy to ^.^
But regardless of the free money I planned to get the games but finding out about it was a major perk I must say.
The only painfull process is the surveys… I hate those things but since they are about things I like I suppose its really not an all around bad thing

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    I love love love you

  • Sardorim

White Samurai Chest Armor is bad because of Ice Weakness. The Helmet and Pants though are actually really good though.

  • http://vindictushots.tumblr.com/ Okuni-chan

I got all three! Used the credit to get the paid one and turned in my Amazon code for the coat xD I am not that far int othe game but I’m in love (。╹ω╹。)

  • Fidelis

Got my copy..now to save for a 3DS..

  • Guilherme Matheus Silva

Hum… Maybe I’ll get the third DLC… I am working all day long now, so an extra exp will be perfect!
