Power Rangers Megaforce Turned Into A Nintendo 3DS Brawler

By Ishaan . July 18, 2013 . 11:00pm

A Power Rangers Megaforce brawler is headed to the Nintendo 3DS this fall in North America and Europe, and Namco Bandai have released a trailer and a batch of screenshots for the game. The game will involve doing battle with the Warstar aliens and the game will be able to scan in the official Power Rangers Power Cards to unlock powers.

Hmm, if Namco Bandai can bring this overseas, does this increase the chance of Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode coming over? Cause this too had no games released for it for a heck of a long time, if I recall correctly.

Fingers crossed, I would love to see Digimon make a return here.

If you’re talking about Power Rangers games, they did release a game for Samurai on both Wii and DS, upon the franchise’s return from hiatus. And I don’t think this game was “brought over” overseas, because there wasn’t an official Goseiger game in Japan; it just happens to use the same engine as the upcoming Kyoryuger game. [Here]‘s a screenshot for comparison.

Besides, Tokusatsu games have been pretty lackluster in quality for the past few years that I wouldn’t count on any of them as having any sort of influence on other games having a chance at localization. If anything, these kinds of games are just part of the yearly merchandising for Bandai – most likely separate from affairs of other Bandai Namco releases.

Isn’t Power Rangers American? It shouldn’t be surprising at all that NA got it. This really has nothing to do with Digimon’s localization.

That’s okay, you can take it.

I’ll grab the Silver Super Megaforce Ranger.

Simply because he’ll be the equivalent of the Silver Gokaiger.

  • MrJechgo

If it can capture that same feeling as did the 1st MMPR SNES game and the MMPR Movie Genesis game, I’ll be happy :)

Because kids love Power Rangers? With all these M rated games like Dual Destinies and SMT IV being out, it’s about time kids get something they can play.

Hell, many people from my generation still love Power Rangers and I’m 22.

Edit: And now I get rated down because people don’t know what he posted before he edited it. Lovely.
