let me give you an anime example; lets say some new unheard writer and artist were put in charge of shonen jump and they want to make a few changes. The changes consist of; Naruto never wanting to be hokage and never becoming a shinobi; instead sasuke took the role of main character, or rukia never met ichigo because she killed grand fisher beforehand so she would become the lead, another would be shanks dying at the beginning and luffy taking his place as captain and never forming the straw hat pirates. So these two gents saw that it wasn’t enough to give characters a new look but a whole new backstory. And jim lee would draw ichigo constantly wearing v-neck sweaters and more masculine, naruto with armor, and luffy with a trenchcoat……. I’m don’t hate these two, I’m just stating a couple of their actions,

That is just a symptom of non-indie western comics in general, though. These guys aren’t the first ones to do any of that, or even the worst ones.

Haven’t played any of these games but a DC cross over is a great way to change that.
