Treasure And Capcom Are Working Together

By Ishaan . July 20, 2013 . 12:30pm

Capcom are developing what they say is a major IP for the Nintendo 3DS in Gaist Crusher, which is a multiplayer gamed where you fight monsters known as Gaists. You can read more about the game here.

It turns out Gaist Crusher is being co-developed by Treasure, the makers of the Sin & Punishment series. The developer made the announcement on their website today.

Gaist Crusher is slated for release on Nintendo 3DS this fall.

  • I’m not sure what a “multiplayer gamed” is, but it does look pretty cool lol =P

    • almostautumn

Well, as a master detective who solves international mysteries on the expense of the United Nations, I’m going to offer you my immortal detecting skill free of charge here— the ‘d’ is a typo.

      • …………….. I would’ve never guessed lol

  • Boebie

I love multiplayer gamed. It’s my favorite genre.

  • mockturtle

Well my excitement for this just rose dramatically. As in I had no interest in it before but now I’d pre-order if it comes stateside.

  • FrancisGC

    Treasure isn’t dead? Rejoice!

  • Zeether

This better be localized and not subject to Capcom being picky about what the Western market wants.

    • GH56734

      Like Last Ranker…

      • zeta

and EX troopers that on stayed Japan exclusive only with a bunch of alibis

      • deadMastershiro

I wanted that game so bad.

  • TrevHead

Love Treasure but this on the surface doesn’t look to be my bag.

I hope it goes well for Treasure though and puts some money in the bank for them, so they can work on giving us a new RSG / Gradius 5 HD or S&P HD :p

  • Hollowkoopa

Did they announce a anime for this yet? i get the feeling it will get one.

  • Crevox

You mentioned Treasure, here I am

    • Tincho D

Where is mah Sin & Punishment 3?

      • Tonton Ramos

or a Sin and Punishment playable character on Smash Bros 4…

  • Crevox

You mentioned Treasure, here I am

  • Schoop

Is this the project Treasure has been working on for some time now, or could they have another of they own in progress? This one doesn’t sound that good, but I’m sure Treasure will provide amazing gameplay, whatever the whole package will be.

It’s the words “multiplayer” and “kids” that don’t sounds good, combined with the Pokemon & Monster Hunter influences combined with anime & manga stuff. It’s appears to be a attempt to market as fairly big thing for Japanese youth, but I feel like Treasure’s design may be bit wasted there.

  • Namuro

Great! This is the kind of collaboration I’m looking forward to. I can’t wait to see how the game turns out!

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

This is going to be a good thing

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

This is going to be a good thing

  • Solomon_Kano

    Treasure? Awwwww snap.

  • British_Otaku

Treasure are one of my favourite developers from their original IP like Gunstar Heroes, all of the way to their licensed anime games like Astro Boy Omega Factor and Bleach Blade of Fate…

I hope they get a demo up for this soon.

  • SilentMC

While I still don’t think Gaist Crusher will catch on among the kids in Japan (based on gut feeling), it’s good to know that the game itself will be a fun ride. Will probably import when it releases

  • DesmaX

    Suddently, I’m interessed in this

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well, my hype level just sky rocket the moment i hear treasure.^_^ Give me Gunstar Heroes 3DS plizzz.^_^
