Both games are available worldwide for G-Gee and Google Play You can either try the “Lite” versions (here and here) out for free or buy the paid versions, which are priced as follows:

Deathsmiles11.99US$/ 10.99€/ 7.99£/7000₩

You’ll need an Android 2.1 (or later) device to play them. Both games will come with English, Japanese and Korean languages.

actually neither one of these is all that hard on default settings, with bug panic being the easiest…

I know they aren’t that hard compared to Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 or Dodonpachi.

It’s a start. I’ve stuck with iOS primarily for the cave shooters and a few other exclusive apps but its good to see cave making some headway into the android market. Now, they just need to port some dodonpachi and mushihimesama and I might consider switching over to android (or not)

DeathSmiles is an ambitious port and it runs very well (and its nice that even the Lite version lets you use any of the original 4), but I think there’s just too much to the control scheme for this to be an ideal way to play it. Constantly switching directions, firing modes and setting up homing shots with only a few virtual buttons is tiresome.

Why is this listed as an iPhone article if these are ports to Droid?

Good to see that Cave hasn’t given up on Android. Mushihimesama Futari next please.
