The pirate ships are a lot more useful in this game because they create a safe place for your characters to stand in the Item Sea. Sometimes the Item Sea randomization can create some very hazardous areas, so standing on the boat can be a life saver (no pun intended).

I’m really looking forward to re-playing this game and understanding it completely this time around. :P

Out of pure curiosity, are the effects the same as in previous parts?
(With maybe one or two added, of course)

In previous titles you only used the pirate ships for reverse pirating, and for assisting/attacking other players online. In DD2 you use them on every stage in the Item World/Sea. They don’t really have any effects except some boats only let you stay in the item world a certain number of floors at a time. If you use one that lets you stay in for 3 floors, then it’ll kick you out after 3 floors and you have to reenter. I didn’t really mess around with anything else, so I’m not sure if the stats change for other things.

So in this, we can actually set the limit for how many floors we enter?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who immediately noticed that and was pleased. It has a similar weight and style as the Japanese version; are they the same family?

Cookies or being Overlord? worlds toughest decision.

    • golden izanagi

not really when you think about, if you become overlord that could pretty much get you all the cookies you want.

      ………What kind of cookies?

  • Shady Shariest

Thank God they didn’t offer Pepsi instead of cookies!

Cool, the inventory looks more organized.
