    hope it gets localized sigh

This is why I recommend you get a Japanese 3DS in the other thread, dude. >_>

Even if you go for Europe, after the Senran Kagura announcement for EU, you may miss out on any 3DS One Piece title that they sit on.

However yep, I hope it gets localised. I want more people to enjoy it and more people to play multiplayer with.

      • RovCal

na it has to be european or us .. to many consoles cant afford to have multiple of the same.

        • British_Otaku

You could import a cheaper second hand system from one of the regions then you would nearly guarantee every anime game (a few are Europe or America exclusive) and titles in English.

          Otherwise, good luck.

Being an anime fan and dead set on a system outside of Japan is going to save your wallet, but looking at the odd few brilliant titles which are Japan exclusive will do no favours to your sanity.

Hopefully Europe will be getting this too along with Romance Dawn:)

this game looks even better then the wii ones (i’m talking about gameplay), i absolutely want this

    • British_Otaku

It definitely looks more polished with Usopp having a direct first person aiming mode as well, Franky’s cannon building in real time and such.

I hope we still get to explore large environments and explore the ship even if it looks like Trans Town is the new hub, a great one based on how easy it is for Luffy to move around, wonder if you can use the other characters there with ease of movement too.

      gulp

  • Herok♞

Game is looking great so far.

  • British_Otaku

    Ganbarion are awesome as usual.

Hopefully we will see more costumes for the characters aside from a Strong World costume for Luffy for preordering or whatever… I would like to see a decent selection like all of their 3D games.

    • Lifestreamer

Ganbarion understands Oda’s head (and the fans head too) very well, producing hands down the best OP games, but I have a doubt: to complete 100% of this game, you need multiplayer or you can use all the characters? Because it seems you can choose 1 char, and Luffy, for example, can’t steal or read poneglyphs, and a lot of itens will be missed this way, but I can be wrong.

      • British_Otaku

No idea to be honest, if we look at their other games, we should be fine. However, this definitely has a bigger multiplayer and class based focus whether it locks content based on the number of players or classes used or whatever has yet to be seen.

I expect to be able to use anyone of the crew regardless of the number of players and like in Adventure/Cruise, the skills of your allies to be an asset but not too game-changing like Nami’s stealing was a means to get guaranteed drops, anyone else could still get them through luck or Break Shot.

        • Lifestreamer

Yeah, this makes sense, but I really doubt the possibility of repeated chars in a 4-man campaign (like a party of 4 Zoros, for example lol), well, we gotta wait and see…

Man oh man would I love to see this localized… Game looks awesome, animation looks beautiful. And damn do I want that limited One Piece 3DSXL they announced too.

  • MrJechgo

Thank the Lord that all 9 Strawhats are playable, I thought Nami was just an assist.

    • British_Otaku

Ganbarion never disappoint except Gigant Battle 1… >_> It was still good but missing on Robin, Franky and Chopper being playable wasn’t good at all.

  • Göran Isacson

aw yiss, full crew playable! Though is this game a sidestory, or some kind of action game retelling of older battles too? I noticed Enel there, so now I’m curious…

    • British_Otaku

The Ganbarion One Piece games have typically made up their own stories but found a way to make sure you can fight all of your favourite heroes and villains.

The Unlimited series in the past had a hub zone (a camp and Thousand Sunny, now Trans Town), let us go out onto a new island (or many islands) with all sorts of environments with a mystery boss of some sort which takes characters from the Straw Hats memory to fight against between all of the fishing, bug catching, mining and such. Here we are getting the original setting, which doesn’t make very much sense, but more Punk Hazard anyway.

The Gigant Battle series was a beat em up like Jump Superstars based on challenges, so the game just let you use any one but the final battle of the game is with Blackbeard for what it’s worth, on top of them using stages from the original series and having some rewards (ranging from cash to characters) for doing what they want.

      • Göran Isacson

Ah, so it might be the case that these battles may be some kinda “dream-battles” or something like that? I guess that explains it…. would be pretty cool to fight some of these battles as a four man crew, not gonna lie.

        • British_Otaku

I suppose dream battles is a rough description.
Given that Unlimited Adventure and Cruise had a story as their justification for not letting us use everyone in story mode before, I hope we can use Enel this time around outside the survival and vs mode (not necessarily here as it is a different take on the Unlimited concept).

Imagine Enel, Crocodile, Akainu and… Caribou go hunting dragons together… or bug catching. >_>

          • Göran Isacson

… I can imagine Akainu just burning all the bugs JUST to spite Crocodile. What’s that? A criminal caught a hercules beetle before a righteous marine did? Why he most certainly did not, he’s just holding a box full of ash after all! Not a box full of beetles.

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

I like Nami better with short hair.

  • http://people.ign.com/rob1610 rob1610

I had to watch this multiple times. Not just cause it’s awesome (and it is), but because something distracted me when they were showing off the characters. Something…about…Nami……….btw, I want this game! xD

  • Ridho Siregar

Hmm… so it’s kinda like the ultimate ninja storm of One Piece, except that it’s an action game instead of fighting.

    well, anyway, LOCALIZATION!!
