Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst Reaches America In October

By Ishaan . August 14, 2013 . 11:30am

Earlier in the year, Namco Bandai announced Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst, an updated version of Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 with new features and more.

This morning, the publisher announced that the game is slated for release on October 22nd “throughout the Americas”. Additionally, the PC version of the game on Steam is slated for release this fall as well, but doesn’t have a date assigned to it yet.

If you pre-order the retail Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst, you’ll also receive an exclusive art book from Studio Pierrot, the anime studio in charge of producing the Naruto animated series.

Note that you don’t necessarily have to buy Full Burst at retail—if you already own Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, you’ll be able to grab Full Burst as a paid downloadable update. Prices will be announced at a later date, Namco say.

    Naruto vs Pokemon GO!

Getting the game of the year artbook at retail. Cant wait for more naruto. Thanks for the update.

  • Sango

No point in buying a Naruto game until Kishi finishes the manga. I’d say 2015 or 2016 is when it’ll end. By then you’ll be able to play through every arc and as all characters.

    • Shady Shariest

      2016? With these cliffhangers?

      • Sango

You’re right! Sakura will become a villain at the end of Shippuden. Declaring war and destruction on the ninja world, which will spawn into a new Naruto series.

        • Shady Shariest

Oh, it’s like with Soul Eater?
(Except unlike “Sakura Shippuden Wars” “Soul Eater Not!” all ready exists)

Edit: Can all ready see it…

“NO! I WILL BECOME THE HOKAGE AND THE SAGE BOTH!”
          Kishi: “Here we go aga-ain…*TrollFace*

    • kyo354

N that’s the reason y I never bought any of the storm games other than generations

    • PRGamerCub

why? you think theres gonna be a game that goes from episode one to the last? LOL

      • Fidelis

        That’s entirely possible.

      • KonjikinoSora

Have you seen the JoJo game that the same developers are making? It covers over 800 chapters, significantly more than what Naruto has at the moment.

        • PRGamerCub

and there hasnt been a game about that series IN YEARS!!! lol Naruto has been a yearly game for YEARS lol DONT COMPARE!!! geezus

          • Pinwheel

Which is still entirely irrelevant to the point you made. It’s possible to make a game that covers that much stuff. Minus cutting out like 5 fairly important characters and a few others that would be great, the JoJo game DOES cover a humongous amount of stuff. Naruto games could easily do the same.

      • Shady Shariest

It has all ready been said (Remember reading about it) that there will be a game that will go over the whole story…
Can’t remember whether it was after manga is done, or when the anime has been done too…

Edit: “Whole” whole… They will most likely skip some minor things (Good, because again, cliffhangers…) but major events will be in,,, Wonder if they would go on a kind of episodic release like Back to the Future: The Game…

    • Aara_Malik_Davoodi

It definitely won’t be 2016. It’s clearly wrapping up and he’s said that he is really trying to wrap things up, but he doesn’t want to rush it. It’ll most likely be 2014/early 2015 at the latest.

  • karasuKumo

I’ll skip this and get their next title, hopefully it’s on next gen consoles.

    • PRGamerCub

the next game will probably be on PS3 and PS4 ….

I hate to be the pessimist, but the games have many bugs, and the following game just adds about 4 new characters, fixing one out of the new bugs, while adding many new bugs.

I’ve decided not to buy anymore Storm games until I see big changes.

    • VietKnight

I am just getting it just for the manga sized artbook of 150pgs

  • PRGamerCub

DLC version better be 14.99 and no more than that! or 9.99 even … >.>

    • abcdeee

Or how about just $4.99… If all I get is a character and boss battle, that much money isn’t worth it.

      • PRGamerCub

that would be the perfect price

  • Crimson_Cloud

Wasn’t there an interview which said that CyberConnect2 won’t be making another Ninja Storm in a while? I really think they should use their potential for some high quality RPG.

    • Pinwheel

I’m hoping this is so they could branch out to other anime series for fighters. Their JoJo game brought their A-game and made me go from disliking their games to falling in love with the JoJo game.

Saint Seiya also is a pretty neat anime for them to expand to. Who knows what other series they could hopefully do anime fighters for.

      • Hinataharem

Well, even in the naruto games it was obvious they were Jojo fans from the beginning, so ASB has a lot of heart, heat, and beat.(They put Jojo poses in the supers of the older games)

But I agree, they keep proving they can make awesome games for other series

        • Pinwheel

Asuma in those games is just a straight shot reference at Jotaro. Asuma’s seiyu voiced Jotaro in the OVAs and many of his attacks involved just rapid boxing punch moves and yelling out ora occasionally.

  • Michael Martin

I really want the art book with the retail version, but I don’t want to have to play through the whole game again. Will my existing Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 save file port over to Full Burst?

  • D. Collins

    JoJo……

I’m I the only the only one who cares about the Clash of Ninja series T_T? I mean, they should to a fourth by this point, I’m just hoping they haven’t because they want to give us Revolution 4 with a finishing arc and a whole new characters… I’m just hoping that…

    • leingod

Not the only one, I enjoyed those games on the cube.
