Perhaps one of the coolest downloadable pre-order bonuses. Really tempted to do this.

    I don’t think I recall ever playing this game as a kid…
Haven’t really checked out the gameplay on the older version, but I do recall playing a stage as a kid that had mickey on the steamboat, and the stage was completely black and white. Unless it was castle of illusion, then this should be a treat.

All I remember is dying and never being able to beat that stage ;-;….

I will definitely consider buying this, but im trying to refrain from buying any more games, since my backlog has now reached 75+ unopened/unplayed/unfinished games.

      Your talking about Mickey Mania.
I remeber that game got it for the PSONE.

      • SpaceOfSoul

Oh, it was on Ps one? thought i played it on a Snes or NES lol.
Just checked out a few videos, it looks fun. Might get it.

        • XiaomuArisu

It was on the SNES too.
          And the Sega Genesis/CD

For a split second I thought they were actually going to be mailing out Sega Genesis cartridges. Then I remembered what year it was. Ah the wonders of digital media. Just imagine how astonished our 1990s-selves would be to find out we can now download full games to our consoles in a matter of seconds.

    • Tom_Phoenix

Our 1990s-selves would also be astonished by how crappy most of the games we have available are. =P

    • AndyLC

Sega Channel let you do that in the 90’s. They were 20 years ahead of their time.

  • mockturtle

I wish Capcom had done this with DuckTales. Definitely pre-oredering this. Do that all the time for physical games but this’ll be a first for digital.

  • Solomon_Kano

That’s awesome as hell. Guess I need to get a PSN card.

  • MrRobbyM

Sadly I’m not able to afford any games now but this is pretty awesome.

  • KonjikinoSora

Is it even possible for PSN games to come out on a Wednesday?

I remember playing this a LOOOONG time ago, the game was amazing, it had a really unique, creepy atmosphere. Now that I think about it, all Disney games I played in the distant past had a certain unique, creepy atmosphere: the one for the Genesis with Donald as explorer and going into Dracula’s castle, the one with Donald and Mickey magicking anything away with magician tricks, the one that started with the first Mickey appearance in Steamboat Willie…

That’s awesome news, i’ve been wanting them to include the original ever since they announced this remake :) even though I still own the mega drive cartridge I probably won’t hook up the old system..

So is the original Genesis game a preorder bonus only for the PS3 ver since it has dynamic theme and avatars? I was planning on getting it on 360 since I still have a lot of MS points to burn.. I don’t recall being able to preorder on XBLA.. Also it’s cheaper for Plus being at $12 instead of $15..

Now you get a great remake plus the classic original, such a bargain, take that power of illusion!

    • MrSirFeatherFang

Actually it’s the original Genesis cartridge their giving out :P

I still don’t really understand why companies insist on people pre-ordering digital DLC games. It really doesn’t make much sense when you think about it.

With physical games it makes sense for them to get an idea of how many units per store in order to have enough per store. Our store always took the number of pre-orders and tagged on 10% to be safe and it worked out well…

But with DLC they don’t have to stock anything and weather they sell 1 or 1 million “copies” it makes no difference.. I don’t know.. maybe I’m over thinking this.

    • TrevHead

I would guess that some ppl who are the type to immediately pre order a game after watching a cool trailer that’s part of a pre-release marketing campaign might not buy it later down the line.

How does they saying go? Strike the deal while the iron is hot
