    HYPED!!

This has my eye while the console versions feel like COD

    • Lloyd Christmas

      Feels like COD? Wut?

      • Tylor Boreas Makimoto

I believe he means in terms of how there are yearly installments with few to no changes in terms of gameplay.

        • Lloyd Christmas

Isn’t that how all sequels are though? Besides, the Arkham series isn’t a yearly installment like AC or COD.

I’ll be watching this with interest. I wasn’t crazy about the console Arkham games, but I’ve been waiting on Armature’s first project for ages.

The thing that has me worried though is the combat. If Castlevania: Mirror of Fate ought to have taught us anything, it’s that simply carrying over the combat system from a 3D console action game to a 2.5D handheld game isn’t necessarily a good idea. I hope they’ve streamlined it in a way that makes sense for its platform/perspective.

There was a mission for Arkham City’s challenge mode that was entirely on a 2D plane and it worked very well. My favorite challenge map, in fact.

    Bronze Tiger!

Interesting to see him here. He’ll also be on Arrow this fall, so he’s getting a lot of love in a short period of time.

My lil’ bro loves these Batman games… so I’ll have to buy it
But with that Retro pedigree, this should be fun!

Looks like the 3DS version of the game based on the footage. I’m surprised they didn’t go with the vita version at least for the trailer.

  • Spirit Macardi

It’s amazing just how accurately Troy Baker has imitated Mark Hammil’s Joker. The man has one of the most diverse vocal ranges of all time.

OMG Wolverine has a grudge against Batman too?

Game looks sick. Some people say they would’ve prefered a portable version of regular Arkham Origins, but personally I’m glad they are different games.

This looks like the definitive metroidvania game for this generation. I would love if armature made a handheld castlevania after this one. Buying it on launch.

If this game turns out to be as good as it looks / sounds, then definetely! I’d love a 2.5D Castlevania made by other people than Mercurysteam.

Yeah. One thing that I really like about the game from the trailers is emphasis on story. Metroidvania games are usually not known for their story. Let us see how it goes..

I like the drawing. Looks like the Batman short in China.

  • InfectedAI

After seeing demo gameplay I’m less excited. Seems a bit unpolished. Small things, like the glide kick impact looking very weak, but they all add up. Also if I were to get it I’d get the 3DS version and the textures on it look washed out.
