A Guitar-Playing Cactus? Spear-Wielding Shark? This RPG Has Both Those

Hello Hero, a turn-based RPG for smartphones developed in Korea, is headed to the west. You control a team of five heroes across the planet of Armon, including quirky characters like a guitar-playing cactus and a spear-wielding shark.

Hello Hero actually allows a choice of over 200 characters that can be used in the game’s 90 (approximately) stages. In addition to its regular dungeons, the game also has boss raids and player-vs.-player arenas spread across multiple environments.

Boss raids take place every three days, where players can play online together in order to take down a World Boss. Meanwhile, PvP lets you battle against a friend to help increase your skill and experience.

Hello Hero will be available as a free download on iOS, Android and Facebook this fall. You can watch an English trailer for the game above.

lawlz, my friend was commissioned to cosplay as the cactus at PAX, and i didn’t know it was this game until NDA lifted lulz

Cactus Man is not the hero we need… or the one we deserve. We actually have no idea how or why a sentient cactus decided to become a hero, but golly we are just too scared to ask. Looks funny, but I do wonder if there’s a story to it or if it will just be the Heroes fighting monsters all the time.

Also: 200 heroes? Man, what if these guys fought the Wonderful 101… the battle would be amazing.
