Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is getting a demo in North America. Atlus USA will release a demo for the Nintendo 3DS RPG on Monday, September 16th.

Additionally, Atlus have also shared a new trailer for the game, featuring one of the four main characters—Arthur Charles, the alchemist. You can watch this above.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will be released on October 1st in North America. The game is a re-telling of the very first Etrian Odyssey. It includes a brand new story mode with fixed characters, as well as a Classic mode where you get to create your own party, like in previous Etrian Odyssey titles.

Atlus have also clarified that all pre-orders and first-run copies of Etrian Odyssey Untold will come with the game’s bonus goodies, not just copies sold by participating retailers.

Just finished SMTIV. Thought I’d take a break from 3DS gaming until this comes up, but screw that. Here we go and let’s give this a shot! RPGamer had a good review so I’m excited to try this.

Well… I don’t have the money for this… dammit… Why does so much have to come out at the start of October…

You know, I think I’ll pass on this. The EO IV demo was important to me, because I hadn’t played the series before and was afraid it might be too hardcore for my mild tastes. But now that I’m on the other side of my EO IV experience, I know that this is something I like. So I don’t see much point to the demo for me, I’d rather save the characters and music and whatever else is new for when I can buy the full game.

That said, if you HAVEN’T played EO before, you must download this! It’s not as scary as reputation has it, really.

  • What sucks is I’m Australian and I’ve only just gotten into the Etrian Odyssey series thanks to the demo of Etrian Odyssey IV on eShop. You wanna know why that sucks? Because Etrian Odyssey IV comes out in Australia this Thursday, September 12th…

  • Does the demo include classic mode too? I’m all for an EO remake but strongly opposed to having my party chosen for me, since that ruins the fun of the game

  • I wonder if you can keep your save from the demo for use in the game?

Also, yay! Gotta finish up EOIV in preparation, I guess. Wonder how far I am through the post-game dungeon and what else I haven’t done. Also: I don’t remember how to play anymore. Hate that.

I am also wondering if it will be possible to keep the demo save, but have not seen anything about it.

I picked up EOIV with the $30 eShop credit from FE & SMTIV promo and it quickly became one of my favorite games in years. I actually stopped playing EOIV, bought EO II and III and plan to play them all in order (although it does not sound like there is any real good reason to do so).

But, have to admit, was not super thrilled about the dialog/voice work in the latest trailer.

Just saw the latest from Atlus and demo save data can be carried over to the full game.
