I like Mewtwo a lot, one of my favorite pokemon, but it’s starting to get annoying how he appears in everything nowadays, besides this new transformation doesn’t help…Mewtwo doesn’t feel like a rare pokemon anymore..

    • British_Otaku

It’s typical for legends to get spotlighted so much that they become more common than average occurrences in media. Super Saiyans were suffered from this too.

There is still only one Mewtwo, with only a few at most appearances in the main game series as the setting keeps changing. At the very least, Mewtwo is kept somewhat relevant through occasional movies and video games (Melee and Pokemon X/Y) which spotlight him.

  • Spirit Macardi

Darn it, no clips of Mewtwo speaking. I want to know if they somehow got Dan Green to return to the role, since even though he’s left voice acting it’s still one of his most iconic parts. Right up there with Yugi Mutou and Knuckles.

    • ZEROthefirst

Don’t count on it, Mewtwo is voiced by a woman in Japan for this movie. From what I understand this isn’t the same Mewtwo either (not sure how they’re working this since there should only be 1 Mewtwo but the movie will point it out I’m sure).

Don’t kill the dream we dream, man D=

        • ZEROthefirst

I dream of it too man, I’m just cautious about this :(

      • Spider-Man

That’s correct, it isn’t the same Mewtwo. I’d go more into detail but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it.

        • Vash bane

really? that’s cool now im curious XD

    • ShadowScipio

Hey, at least Ash seems to have acknowledged Mewtwo in this trailer. If I recall correctly, he acts as if he has never seen Mewtwo before in the Japanese version. Plus, there’s a Mewtwo-centric special episode that seems to try to retcon the first movie, since there’s no good reason for another Mewtwo to be running about.

  • Kalis Konig

The fact that a Genesect’s nest looks exactly like the creators ship from the Guyver lol.

  • Steven Higgins

Dammit Ash! How the hell to you keep getting involved in these situations! You’re like a magnet(or Magnezone?) for dangerous Legendary Pokemon!

    • fearlubu

      He’s the one, man.

  • Ying

I found it funny how Mewtwo shrank after going into his mega-evolution

    • Raltrios

Frieza got bigger as he transformed and then shrunk in his final form.

      • Ying

What’s your point? It still looks hilarious how this big badass Mewtwo shrinks into this chibi Mewtwo haha

        • Kaihedgie

Everyone thought Frieza was harmless in his final form

          They were all dead wrong.

    • AuraGuyChris

If Shaman King taught me something, is that smaller weapons are deadlier than looking all big and mighty with a Megazord spirit.

  • Wow, that was quick…but then again the U.S. is only 10 episodes behind Japan. I wish more anime were as close in English to their Japanese counterparts like Pokémon is.

  • Sardorim

I don’t see Misty in this.

    Gonna have to pass.

  • shuyai

lol but Mewtwo is already freaking badass enough i mean in the first movie he can freaking move cloud so surely he can just use he physic to crush Genesect remotely or use the master ball

  • Placido Michael Cortorreal Flo

mmm i dont get why people dislike the concept of condensing…
meaning, the smaller it is…the stronger it can be…
Some people said Freiza and Shaman King as examples…
Naruto and Bleach uses the same concept too, i dont know from where does that comes from…but it seems logical that the smaller your weapon or source of power is, the better you can manipulate-handle it

  • isotrex

Ash Ketchum! Y u no get old. haha. It’s been seventeen years since I first saw you and you’re still young and awesome. What’s your secret?

  • artemisthemp

I really don’t like the MegaMewtwo it look so stupid
