By Ishaan . September 19, 2013 . 11:50am

Square Enix have shared a new trailer for Bravely Default: For the Sequel at Tokyo Game Show, and Final Fantasy Network managed to grab it off a TGS livestream. Watch the trailer below.

Bravely Default: For the Sequel is an enhanced version of Bravely Default, with additional story events and features, including the ability to adjust the game’s random encounter rate and speed up battles. This is also the version of the game that is being localized for the west.

You can read more about the changes and improvements being made to the game in our prior coverage.

The soundtrack playing in the trailer wasn’t in the original! It seems they’ll fix the repeating music issue (if that’s an issue at all, since it’s amazing anyways) by adding even more compositions from Revo!
Also, English spotted in 1:11 in the trailer.

I know I say this every time I see a video of this game but DAT MUSIC O.O

I was kind of hoping that the actual sequel would be shown off a TGS. It’s been near a year since the original released, right? If the sequel is on a 2 year dev cycle (which is reasonable, barring Square Enix deciding to work on it for a decade since it looks like FF vs. XIII is actually a product they’re planning to release now) then I thought there might be a CG trailer. Nothing gameplay yet, but something.

    0:58, CG Edea looks gorgeous.

I can see myself locking myself in my room for days on end just playing this game and listening to its soundtrack. Another killer app for the 3DS like with FE: Awakening.

  • Slayven19

I can’t stress enough how much I just want to play the game. Well at least I’ll have pokemon until that time comes and it will speed this year on by for me.

  • Neophoton

Dem spoilers in the trailer. :P Nice to see new bosses, too.

Can’t wait to get the DLC for my initial copy in December. Only thing that would convince me to get a physical copy of the new release is if they did something along the collector’s pack last year.

4HoL Beelzebub is in this?! What the heck?!

  • abysswalker

Oh man, that attack at the end… I wonder what job it is

Yes Bravely Default, you have become my hope. I am so glad it won the TGS GOTY. I have no doubt the sequel won’t disappoint either.

  • Notquitesure?

I saw what look to be ‘traditional’ ultimate attacks in the trailer, how do they work in the game?
