I’d prefer the single player Call stage and boss. :c but still good.

    • Allec Ribeiro

Yeah, me too. :< Too bad they revealed it (or rather, decided on it) this late, a few days earlier and it might have hit. Still happy, of course, but I would love to play as Call in her own stage!

      • ffboi7

They could always keep the PayPal running after the Kickstarter is done. So there’s a chance at that

        • Allec Ribeiro

Oh, true! I hope they do that. I will gladly donate some more for it.

    • Kevin Schwarz

      Me toooo <3

    • artemisthemp

They most likely reach before the Kickstarter end, else I am sad

  • AlphaSixNine

I still can’t understand why it’s more expensive to have a Vita/3DS version than to have a PS4/Xbox One version. Someone more knowledgeable explain it to me.

    • They probably have to make more compromises to make it run on smaller, generally less able hardware. It’s probably more for the 3DS honestly, but I also don’t know how well Unreal does with handhelds either.

      • Haha! The only educated answer among these responses!

    • I think it’s more what order they came in. They decided on PS4/XBone first, and then decided to add in Vita/3DS— but they both cost their own amount of money to develop for and get licenses for.

If they decided to go for portable first, it’d be the other way around, probably.

I still believe that after some time passes, Nintendo and Sony will talk to Inafune and his people about possibly bringing the game to the 3DS and the Vita (mostly the Vita, because Sony definitely needs more games for it).
EDIT: Wait, strike that: the campaign made the 3DS/Vita stretch goal. Carry on.

    • InfectedAI

It’s not more expensive. Both stretch goals cost the same. They asked for 200k for the PS4/XB1 ports and then for another 200k for the Vita/3DS ports. They just prioritized the console ones so they would get funded first. It makes sense. By the time this game gets out those two will be the main platforms out.

I’d much rather have a portable version, but I see why they made that decision.

      • Kurizu208

They are only 20k from portable versions hopefully we make it. I really want to play M9 on vita or 3ds XL

        • InfectedAI

They made it, AND the next stretch goal for the single player Call stage and boss!

  • AxionAzure

I’m so surprised at this, it seemed unlikely two days ago.

    • Pyrotek85

Yeah who knows, they might hit another goal. Just when you expect it to slow down it keeps going lol.

  • Go2hell66

    Gotta get that 3.7mil

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

And who was saying it wouldn’t hit the handheld stretch goal…?

The last push is always the wildcard, if done right. And Comcept has been pulling a fantastic campaign for this past month.

  • Go2hell66

the last stretch goal should be X and Zero as playable characters

watch the money fly through the roof

    • ffboi7

      If you want a lawsuit

      • Go2hell66

obvoiusly they’d have to get the ok from capcom 1st, don’t see why it can’t happen. megaman’s already crossed over into so many other games already

        • ffboi7

True but doubt it. As fans would like that I have a feeling Inafune wants Mighty No. 9 to be its own thing without Megaman

          • s07195

Wants to be its own thing, yet decided to go with the Roll Call design instead of the Aero Call design. -.-
Getting as close to a ‘Take That’ to Capcom and Megaman as possible, more likely.

        • InfectedAI

There are countless reasons why it can’t happen. This product is in direct Competition with Capcom, they won’t want to hand over any of their intellectual property/help them in any way. Not to mention Inafune wants to make this its own thing, not relying on pre-existing IPs.

          • brian

Technically they are relying a lot on nostalgia of a pre-existing IP.

  • Arcana Wiz

We have chanes of reaching call goal! the kickstarter is moveing faster and faster! Let’s go beckers!!!!!!

  • I hope the 9th Hour would be the finest in this dynamic Kickstarter. It has quite a journey, as troves immediately came to answer the Call just in the first day alone.

  • Kevin Schwarz

Make Kappacom a secret last enemy stretch goal lol

  • Shuga Suenaga

i dont caree!!!, 200,000 for 3DS and VITA version!!! >:0

    • InfectedAI

Actually under 70,000 now. I really hope it makes it.

      • Actually at time of this post (mine), it’s under 170,000.

        • neo_firenze

Remember that Paypal also counts toward the stretch goals. As of this post, $3,346,055 on Kickstarter plus $115,000 as of the last updated Paypal numbers = about $3,461,000

That’s under $40,000 to go for 3DS/Vita stretch goal. Looks like they’ll easily make that.

  • Zangetsu777

YEAH!! Lets go “Mighty No. 9” Next Generation Goals secure!!

  • brian

I feel really bad for wishing a lot of this could go towards funding stretch goals for Shantae.
At this rate it’ll end up being on everything that it can be, not that this is a bad thing, just depressing (again) for Shantae.

    • InfectedAI

Shantae got funded and made it’s stretch goal for the Risky Boots campaign. It did great. Plus Mighty No. 9’s updates mentioned Shantae to send some backers their way, so that probably helped. This is getting more attention/funding because Mega Man is way more well known than Shantae. If this hadn’t been announced, I’m not sure Shantae would have earned significantly more money.

      • brian

I knew all of that, but it’s depressing to me mostly for selfish reasons like Shantae appeals to me better than this game but also a (maybe) non-selfish reason of being afraid most of those stretch goals will be permanently scrapped.
Plus the fact that practically all Mighty No9’s goals were all reached without any problem.

        • InfectedAI

Shantae just made it’s second stretch goal a while ago. Be happy. It might even make it’s third.

    • Kurizu208

I fell you some of the higher stretch goals for shantae sounds so awesome.

  • PoweredByHentai

I want SINGLEPLAYER CALL mode. >_<

I'm hoping that someone will fund that.

    • British_Otaku

I really want that too, but I’m worried by it only being a stage as it sounds… >_> It may be silly to compare it to another game, but Shantae has two completely playable characters (lead and villain) and has a stretch goal where three friends and supporting characters get their own stories and adventure with their own abilities.

I hope Inafune makes Call fun.

      • Kurizu208

Well at least there is the co op Beck and Call challenges.

    • 200.000 more to go!

  • popo123

OOOH I hope it reaches that Vita/3ds goal. pleaaaasee I want to play it on my Vita. Congrats either and I hope this will mark the advent of a new franchise.

  • Heropon

Only 15 hours , i hope it will reach Call Stage =)

  • hazelnut1112

It annoys me how they decided to go for a PS4 a xbone version before a 3DS and Vita port.

  • ShinobiBrown

Holy cow this has come a long way! I was content with just reaching the Boss Rush mode stretch goal and haven’t really been keeping tabs since. The only other stretch goal I wanted was the Co-op mode, which would have been the icing on the cake. With this, I got icing and then some. Good stuff.

  • icecoffemix

Hoping they incorporate all the missing features after the game went gold and went on to become a massive success. Wouldn’t mind DLC for things like these.

  • Rytan

Including Paypal money, they only need $16,398 more until 3DS/Vita versions! Come on, guys!

  • RichyGaming

Sounds good dood, but this game is going to be 2D right? That concept picture drawn for Mighty No. 9 gameplay was beautiful. (Wouldn’t mind having the stages 3D but Beck looks more sick in 2D imo) And I seriously hope the Vita can cross play with PS3 for any coop in the game.

    • KuroNathan

      2.5d, 2d stages with 3d graphics.

  • Aaronrules380

3DS and Vita versions have also been reached (according to comcept on the comments), though the front page isn’t updated yet.

  • Zonic505

Updated stretch goal list (chiptune OST & FX at $3.8 million, online battle race mode at 4 million):
