Square Enix have announced a release date for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster in Japan. The games will be available on December 26th for PlayStation 3 and Vita.

    A day after Christmas…..

Wonder why they just didn’t they sold them seperatley at retail instead of doing the twin pack in general for the Vita version.

I hope NA gets that twin pack at retail. Really don’t want 2 more 3GB RPGs >_>

    • xAtKx

How big is your memory card?

      • TheExile285

Its a 32GB but I already have stuff like Meruru Plus & PS Plus doesn’t help :/

        • xAtKx

might be time to invest in a 64GB

          • TheExile285

I’ll consider it. Don’t want to pay for shipping though -_-

Maybe if Play-Asia will do free shipping.

          • Trinity

Try YesAsia. That is where I’m planning to get my pink Vita.

          • JuhRo

            So tempting to get a 64 GB… I could easily sell my 32 for 60-70$ to someone… Interesting…

EDIT: not that easy since amazon dropped it to 73$ for a brand spankin new one… so I’ll have to take a 50$ loss at best. .

    • Zero_Destiny

      Good ol’ Boxing Day.

    • pimpalicious

Are the Vita versions even getting physical releases at all in NA?

  • Trinity

Took them long enough to finally announce one release date. But then this just means January for the west because February is when Lighting Returns comes out…

    • 3PointDecoupage

If anything it means march or later

      • Trinity

Or, knowing Square Enix, this time…next year.

        • TheExile285

They said Winter for US though

          • Trinity

At this point, winter could mean either this December or January or March or NEXT December.

          • TheExile285

            Oh ****, you are right……

            It shouldn’t take THAT long though…..I hope…..

          • Herlo Rerelo

don’t most new FF release WW on same date? maybe all regions will get this on Dec 26? just assumption lol

          • Jeffrey Kuhl

            THIS winter moron

        • pimpalicious

Most of the localization has been done, probably March.

  • Xaltmas

Day one for the digital twin pack. I just hope Sony brings over that 64GB card soon or I’ll have to import one.

  • PersonaSpace

So, Japan gets Last Mission. I hope we do in the US as well. It never had English audio recorded for it, so I’ve been concerned for it. I’d really like to play it.

    • Nanaki

As much as I’m aware that some of the original cast went in to do some voice work for that added content, I feel like Last Mission was a reason as well. At least I’m hoping.

      • PersonaSpace

        I’ll hope too!

  • Jordan Coleman

Jesus, I can’t believe it took this long to get a release date for a damn hd collection.

    • Monterossa

And it’s not gonna make it in time for 2013 (for western release)… wow Slow-Enix.

  • Steven Higgins

Good. I expevted them to do this, but you can never be sure.
Now, just give us cross-buy and there won’t be any trouble.

    • pimpalicious

There is no way it will be crossbuy. That only happens for 1st party games and indies.

      • Steven Higgins

Oh well. At least we’re getting cross-save.

  • Dark Zerato

Look like 2014 is a big year for RPG fan. Tales HD, TOX2, FFX/X-2, LR:FF, TitS:SC, Drakengard 3,… Damn it. I wish i had more time to play all of them.

    • Lucky Dan

Wait till they been released before you jump the gun buddy.

    • pimpalicious

This year has been good for JRPGs as well: Atelier Ayesha, Disgaea D2, Etrian Odyssey IV and Untold, Fire Emblem Awakening, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD, Ni no Kuni, SMT IV, Tales of Xillia. And we’re still getting Hometown Story, Pokemon X/Y, Rune Factory 4, The Guided Fate Paradox, and Ys Celceta.

What is LR: FF? I can’t think of what that is for some reason when I should probably know.

      • Dark Zerato

Lightning Return: Final Fantasy. It could be the game that has the most articles on Siliconera now.

        • pimpalicious

Oh yeah, I always forget Lightning Returns comes before Final Fantasy in the title so it throws me off when it’s abbreviated lol.

      • mc3027

I knew what that one was, but usually I get so confused with all the acronyms!! I just want people to type things out so I can understand. :P

  • Detrimont

so is the audio drama the bonus audio?

  • mockturtle

Me, before clicking the article: “I bet they release it the day after Christmas, because of course they will.”

Article: “The games will be available on December 26th for PlayStation 3 and Vita.”

  • gRiMmYdArK13

It would be so awesome if we got Last Mission in English or in English subtitles.

  • Zangetsu777

  • cyberkinghardy

FFX International has already the English option before playing the game right?

    • kerrod willoughby

yeah thats right, they have made english menus and text for ffx-2 hd though aswell which was just in japanese in the original ps2 version

  • cyberkinghardy

This will be my first time playing this. I think I saw some thread that FF X|X-2 International already has an English option before playing the game. Is that true?

  • Took them long enough. I think I went through an evolution while waiting.

    • WhyWai

finally there is a date. hope the english version follow up soon. btw, so you are one of X-men now?
