Batman: Arkham Origins On Mobile Has The Best Batman Beyond Costume Yet

By Ishaan . October 13, 2013 . 9:30am

Batman: Arkham Origins is getting a mobile version for iOS and Android platforms, and while this version of the game won’t be as ambitious as its open-world console counterpart, it will allow you to play as a variety of Batmen, as shown by a trailer.

The mobile version of Arkham Origins will feature a number of Batsuits that you can unlock throughout the game, including upgraded versions of the Arkham Origins outfit, the Red Son outfit, the Earth Two outfit, a Thrillkiller outfit, a New 52 outfit, a World War II-era outfit, the classic blue-and-grey, and even Batman Beyond.

The Batman Beyond costume in particular looks great. While you could use the Beyond Batsuit in Batman: Arkham City, the costume looked incredibly out-of-character with its muscular features. In Origins, someone actually bothered to model it to look like Terry McGinnis’ physique, which is nice to see.

Looks brilliant. Slightly weird to see the super realistic grunt vs the cartoony styled BB costume, almost as if he’s been yanked out of his own universe or something and is trying to fight his way out..that would be a cool side story

then, then ash ketchum comes too and they have a real rad rave with michael jordon and Ke$ha

thats part of my slam dunk fanfic

And all of a sudden; I need this game.

Actually the first rendition of the costume was more accurate. In the first episode you could see bruce wayne wear this batsuit and that batman beyond looked more muscular than than when Terry wore it.

    • Yeah, but it was also much more stylized, like the rest of TAS. The costume in Arkham City looked nothing like that.

Man, we need a (non-iOS) Batman Beyond game Arkum City style!

Yes we can! I mean, Yes we do!

      Hear, hear!

  • evilmajikman

To be fair? Bruce in the first episode wore the Beyond costume and he had his muscular physique when he wore it in the cartoon as opposed to Terry’s slimmer look. So it totally made sense for him to be muscled up since it was Bruce in the Batman Beyond costume.

    • Luigi87

This is true, though to their credit they went and gave it the animated shading this time around, which it lacked in Arkham City (yet oddly the Batman TAS alt costume did have).

      • Max

Exactly, it always annoyed me why the BB suite didn’t received the same cartoonish treatment as the BTAS suit.

    • Zeik56

He was more well built when he wore it, but it was more a larger upper body than the rippling muscles he has in the Arkham.

  • monkey king

That looks really nice indeed, though I didn’t dislike the arkham city one, in fact I used it the most.

  • Jonathan Tse

it’d be dope if in the future they had DLC or something to make the enemy units look more like TAS. yknow, full circle.

  • Keiji Johnson

Is it me or does the iPad in the trailer looks more like a much larger version of the iPhone than the iPad that we usually see?

  • Carlos Luis Ayala

    Terry gets buff later though

  • Kari

Terry McGinnis’ physique~ You do know that Bruce Wyane wore that same suit in like episode one… so yea….
