A full two years after being announced, the Hulu Plus video-streaming service is finally available on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo of America announced this morning.

Existing Hulu Plus subscribers can download the app from the eShop and begin using it right away, while those without subscriptions will get a free one-week trial.

You can visit the Hulu Plus 3DS website for more details on the service.

Sadly there is no new Naruto Shippuden episode today :( But hopefully people can check out other anime like Valvrave and Samurai Flamenco on the device today, I think its my fifth hulu plus connected device.

I’m in Canada, so I can’t access it.
What I find most interesting about this is the rumor from earlier this year, which said Hulu would arrive within the next six months, as well as Miiverse for the 3DS. Leaves me to wonder.

    • J_Joestar

hopefully Miiverse is on it’s way soon as well.

Hulu in Canada i’m excited for.

  • ZekeFreek

Great. Now can Crunchyroll deliver on that Vita app they’ve been promising SINCE THE DAMNED THING CAME OUT?

Sorry, I’m still irked about that.

    • Aristides

I’m actually still Hyped about that XD

    • Tenshiken

I remember how they announced PS3 and PSV apps at the same time but seemingly forgot about the vita app.

      • ZekeFreek

        Let’s all issue formal complaints.

Ugh. And there was a Hulu app for Vita, wasn’t there? I really hope they’re all still being worked on…

This is nice. Now I can watch the good anime on my 3DS. Hopefully it’ll get Crunchy Roll as well.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Why would anyone want to watch anything on a screen so small and low res? Just use your phone.

    • Zoozbuh

I dunno, I think if you have an XL model (like I do) and use it a lot, it might be a kinda cool service. Especially if your phone is out of date and slow (also me) :/

    oh my god!!! finally!!!

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    waiting for youtube app

  • Chaos_Knight

Now we need a YouTube app.

  • Zoozbuh

Dammit, I wish they’d release some sort of service (Netflix/Lovefilm) for EU and UK users. I would use it, any excuse to use my XL more :/

  • benhofb

Eh, this is really nice for american shows and what not, but I just tried watching the latest episode of Kill la Kill on my regular 3DS (as in not an XL) and the subtitles were pretty much unreadable.

Yey… now if only they were available on other countries NOT in NA
