Skylanders Swap Force Wii U Bundle Hitting North America In November

By Ishaan . October 25, 2013 . 9:30am

The Mario and Luigi bundle isn’t the only Wii U bundle you’ll find in North America this fall. Nintendo are going to be releasing a second Wii U bundle in North America, this one with Skylanders Swap Force.

Unlike the Mario and Luigi bundle, the Skylanders Swap Force bundle will include a Wii U Basic system. Also included are the Skylanders Swap Force game, three Skylanders figures, two Swap Force characters, a collector poster, trading card, sticker sheets and a “Portal of Power”. Additionally, a Nintendo Land game disc will be included as well.

The Skylanders Swap Force Wii U bundle will be available on November 15th for $300.

This is actually good for Nintendo, perfect way to get people especially kids on the Wii U. At least the user base will go up.

Will the X360 or PS3 be getting console bundles with Skylanders Swap Force? I think this is a good move by Nintendo. Not just securing a console bundle deal with Activision, but also the other bundles they’ll be pushing for the Christmas or holiday season.
I do wonder why only Basic models are used for this new SSF bundle, Perhaps they believe the intended audience won’t care for the benefits of the Premium model? I can see the logic, there are other alternatives for those who would prefer the Premium, such as the recent Wind Waker HD Bundle, the upcoming NSMBU bundle and etc.

In any case, they’re giving consumers a lot of options here, and I believe that will be very important this holiday. With solid marketing, and focusing on increasing brand awareness – which is exactly what these bundles help to do – the potential for improving positive word of mouth for the system is there. It should go without saying that I don’t expect the Wii U hardware or software sales to do a complete U-turn, but I feel a strong holiday season, in respect to all other competing systems on the market, is not out of the question.

I think PS4/Xbox One bundles is more likely

Nope they just releasing with FIFA or one choice game rather disappointing, enjoy beta testing day 1 consoles for the asking launching price.

I’m gonna be sensible and wait till they chop the price in half and the technology becomes stable in the later iterations like what PS3 and xbox 360 done.
