As reported in the past, strategy RPG Rainbow Moon is receiving a PlayStation Vita port, and developer Sidequest Studios will release it on December 3rd in the U.S., they have announced. You can watch a trailer for the Vita version below.

The Vita version of Rainbow Moon will support cross-platform saves with the PlayStation 3 version of the game. You’ll be able to use your existing PS3 save game data on the Vita, and the game will feature other improvements as well, which you can read about here.

Gonna play PS3 demo. Honestly more interested in playing Rainbow Skies on the Vita but I might give this a try if I like the demo.

      Same thing here.

My main problem with this game is that any new character you get is gonna be super weak compared to your previous characters since they come in with no points to upgrade their stats and the only way to get stats is for those weaklings to get the finishing blows. So your forced to go back to weaker areas and grind until they are strong enough that they aren’t useless.

Loved this game on PS3. Can’t wait for Rainbow Skies!

What do you think about the story? Is it good?

      • KingGunblader

Meh, it’s nothing to write home about. Like a lot of 8-bit RPGs what little story there is a but a framework for character developing and grindy fun :D.

If you’re looking for a game with a good story, I’m not sure if this will be your thing.

        • epndkempot

          Ah, thank you…

  • Rogerrmark

Pretty unique game. Its kinda hard to find SRPG with actuall exploration outside battles.

I only didn’t like the artwork, everything else was very nice.

  • Prinny Dood

yes thank you i thought they forgot definitely getting this : D

I’ll wait a few months till this is a free title on ps plus lol! Just hate how so many vita ports get delayed, don’t even get me started on japan! Vita games left and right over there, us is just meh. But as i said before, they need to implement a program where those of us who don’t mind reading subtitles can pay 45-50 bucks and get the Japanese games a month or two after it’s released in japan (digital download only). I don’t know how long it takes for the text translations but i’d be willing to pay a bit more to get those great titles now instead of waiting close to a year only to hear of another delay again for a supposed early 2015 release of another great jap game. I want the vita to succeed, i’ve had this little sucker since launch man. If you agree/disagree let me know!

    • Even if a game gets a text translation, that doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the Japanese voice-overs; the game would still need to go through local authorities to determine its rating; the game will still need someone to publish the title – depending on how text-heavy or how much it depends on cultural knowledge to maintain impact, can make difference between a ‘yes’ or ‘no. For example, look at the only Guild 01 that come over.

If you can’t be patient – for whatever reason the game got delayed – then look for something else to bide you time with. A game that is (relatively) bug-free, would be better appreciated by fans than one which is bug-ridden.

Its a little sad to hear someone say that they’ll “wait for it to appear on PS Plus” – just because a game got delayed?

True true, thanks for the eye opener i never knew there were so many hoops to jump through. With the PS4 incoming, i will have that to distract until this gets released. Also another question, any idea if the states will be getting J stars??

        • You’re welcome.

No news on any localisation from what I’ve seen.

  • Learii

I tho this already out for vita guess not

I have this game on PS3 but didnt finish it. Not because it was bad or not, oh no, it was the opposite! Had great SRPG ideas, grindy in a good way and exploration was grand too. I only stopped cause of the vita version announcement so I am extremely excited for the vita version finally releasing! :D

Now i can finally finish the game on the go. Fits perfectly on the vita seeing as the game is really a grindfest and the loads are especially fast!

  • Aristides

    Been waiting for this! :P

  • Good thing I never got around to playing it on PS3.
