Tekken Producer Will Consider PC Release Via Steam

By Ishaan . November 3, 2013 . 10:00pm

Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada says he’ll consider a PC release of the fighting game via Steam. In response to a fan asking if Harada would consider bringing Tekken to Steam, he tweeted, “I’m ancient steam user hehhehe, I’ll consider about that.”

The latest Tekken game available now is Tekken Revolution, which is a free-to-play title for the PlayStation 3. In addition to functioning like a regular fighting game, it also adds the ability to upgrade your characters’ stats.

i dislike playing TR, but if any other Tekken goes to Steam, I’ll play.

  • JuiceKun

Well that’s cool, congratulations to PC fighting game players, unless its Tekken Revolution, then I am sorry. :c

  • epndkempot

Tag Tournament 2 would be good start

    • Tyler Beale

Especially considering the fact that Revolution is a dumbed down version of Tag 2 (in that it reuses its assets).

  • Just Tim

I love Tekken, but the fact the franchise itself is 3D gives me the very strong impression that a PC version would equate into another Crysis (pun NOT intended).

  • Victor Wesker

Oh come on Harada! You will not lose anything if you will port TR on PC. It just free to play game.

  • Keine

please bring a vita port instead of putting it on steam….

  • Strid

Eh, if it’s Bamco and on PC it’s generally a lousy port. No thanks.

  • Shady Shariest

    Yeahhhhoooh. This about Revelution only?
    TTT2 please?

  • Since it is Steam, they have not much to lose by releasing every Tekken title to the platform!

  • hazelnut1112

Please do not release Tekken Revolution. PLease release TTT2.

… the people have spoken, Tekken Guy.

… now give the people what they want. Please.

  • Khoko

Please God no T:R. It’s such a greedy little game. Plus everyone just spams Law’s SA over and over and OVER. It’s like the Ken Flow Charters. Got hit? ~> R1. Didn’t get hit? ~> R1. Opponent is about to attack? ~> R1.

  • Sounds good to me, definitely since my ps3 is barely working now. It would be cool if those Gundam Vs guys could consider releasing games on steam also.

  • Spirit Macardi

Next can we maybe get Tales games on steam? Or how about bringing Hideo Yoshizawa’s magnum opus to the service?

Something tells me the community there would eat both of them up, considering how well games like Recettear and Ys have done :3

Plus… You guys need to make up for just releasing that god-awful 3D Pac-Man game to Steam.

  • Professor_Icepick

Tag Tournament 2, if you please!

  • Hines Green III

As much as a suck at Tekken, Tag 2 and Revolution would be great. Tag 2 is for the ultimate experience while Revolution can get more ” Player feedback ” and continue being a beta test for future Tekken games.

  • Bunzi

Gods please please please let this be. Make this happen, and I’ll have no reason to drop 300+ USD on a Wii U and TV like I’m constantly tempted to do!

  • EinMugenTenshin

I hope next gen game controllers (PS4 or X1) just can be plugged in with an USB and be used via steam instantly without much fuzz.

  • Weird Al Yankovic

Everyone needs to go to Harada’s twitter and send a message asking for TTT2 on PC. NOW.
