Cannot wait for the anime to start!

Also, if or when they release Youkai Watch in the west, I hope it keeps that boxart. I love it!

They will change the ghost into muscle and gritty type lol.^_^

Speaking of Youkai Watch, does anyone know how well-or-not it was received in Japan by critics/gamers? Just being cautiously optimistic…

Should be taken with pinch of salt – Famitsu’s four reviewers gave the game a 9.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

This game have been selling really well even without any anime support there. The sales have been quite steady comparing the huge trouble LV-5 meet from releasing several flopping game like Guild series and Girls Rpg.(I own that one though.^_^)

I even remember when i visited Hokkaido, i streetpass with at least 20? kids who plays Youkai Watch during their travel.^_^

I wish Level-5 would bring this here.

    • 3PointDecoupage

Level 5 only releases games in America if they have Payton in them.

      • Shane Guidaboni

Professor Payton, QB. XD It’s Layton, dude.

        • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

          FOOTOBARRUU DANSHI!

        • Renaldi Saputra

          I bet it’s a pun

I think Nintendo released those ones anyway.

Maybe the anime will get popular here and that’ll provide incentive.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think Level 5 has a publishing arm in the US. I think the Level 5 titles we’ve gotten have been because they were done by Level 5 for Nintendo, Square Enix, Namco, etc.

Anyway, Level 5 has at least 10 games that I want really really badly. :( Some are even in English yet not released in the US.

They do. Guild-01 and Guild-02 were brought over and localized by Level 5 America, hence why one version was localized for the iOS alngside Layton Brothers.
But they are lazy nowadays with their releases/announcements.

        • http://jesse-dylan.livejournal.com Jesse_Dylan

Oh, I didn’t realize that! I thought Nintendo localized those. It’s a miracle we ever got Friday Monsters or Crimson Shroud.

      • Renaldi Saputra

usually animes that providing game promotion things in it and it’s a CERO A game with new IP won’t get popular seeing how Gyrozetter and Gaist Crusher did

  • British_Otaku

Good to hear, I bet they can rest easy to some extent knowing that they got 200K and stable sales for months before having an anime and manga. I hope we hear similar word for Gaist Crusher, the anime and manga are going but the game (and toys) need to do well for the franchise to survive.

  • Renaldi Saputra

hope the anime will be good with around 50 episodes..

usually game adaptation anime with 12-25 episodes didn’t satisfy me at all

  • Jonattas F.

    Seriously, Nintendo should buy Level-5!
