Paine reminds me a lot of lightning…

  • Monterossa

    Nice spoiler SE.

    • fairysun

Lol, ya. This is a bad video to watch for new players.

      • Chip

I really doubt thats a minority worth considering. How old do you have to be before spoilers are nullified by age? Princess is in another castle. James killed Mary. Sephiroth killed Aerith. SOILENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!

        • Ric Vazquez

You have to be really young for Aerith’s death to be a spoiler for you, that or you never played FFVII, as 20 year Final Fantasy veteran/fanboy is does not bother me in the slightest.

        • Steven Higgins

I would say that after 10 years, a spoiler is no longer a spoiler.

          • Tienron

            ^ what he said!

        • Wiccan1109

Problem is though, FFX didn’t quite reach that level of pop culture status that FFVII did. They can throw Aerith Lives in Wreck it Ralph and even non gamers will get the joke. They could write Jecht is Sin or Yuna will Die however and that’ll just be within FF fans.

A whole new generation of fans were created for this series with the start of FFXIII, they began there and have only seen what the PS3, PSP and Vita can provide. I agree that its not a huge deal given its age, but im really surprised they gave away like, 2 of the games biggest plot reveals in like the first 20 seconds. xD Theres not even time to realize its getting too spoilery and stop.

Do you think Last Mission would come out in English as well?

    • potatoes

I have a little gift for you. Skip to 4:15 of the video and enjoy.

      • Gabi López Ramírez

I believe they meant to say if it would be voiced in English as well. I hope that is the case.

      • gRiMmYdArK13

Thanks for the heads up but I mean voice acting.

        • potatoes

Well it’s not too unreasonable to assume that it will be dubbed. They had to localize and record lines for the 30 minutes audio drama so why not Last Mission as well? I’m personally hoping the slight delay in the western release means that they’re working on incorporating proper lip-syncing for the dub.

    • Monterossa

they already confirmed it will be included.

  • Dark Zerato

Good to hear the old day Suteki Da Ne again.

    • Aoshi00

yeah, sad and beautiful song.. interesting they used the Jpn ver but for X-2 they used the Eng ver instead of Koda Yumi’s.. can’t wait to get both the Jpn & US ver to relive one of my fav FFs from over a decade ago.. (the LE cover is beautiful..)

I still remember Auron’s voice gave me goosebumps, I thought he sounded so cool (Jecht too).. John DiMaggio was great as both Wakka and Kimahri too.. The whole cast was very unique.

This might be an old game, but the trailer still spoils way too much.. like some movie trailer spoiling the whole movie… not sure how many would be playing this for the first time though..

      • Ali

No in FFX, ‘Suteki da Ne’ was always sung in Japanese, I’ve played the UK/EU Version and I’ve never even heard of an english version! Maybe that was a US thing perhaps?

        • Aoshi00

The us ver had Jpn song too, I guess the eng ver didn’t come until much later in the distant worlds concert and CDs.. I thought of the eng songs for x-2 or 9 maybe :)

  • Chim_era

You know … I can’t believe I forgot how over the top FFX was….
    Anyone wants some drama? :p

  • shafiq95

whats up with her hair at 1.02

  • JuhRo

Even video of the last area in the game where you fight Sin… Sheesh.

Let’s also not forget that they need to give word of the Vita version release…

  • Gabi López Ramírez

A perfectly good reason to cast Hastega on the calendar if you ask me.

  • leingod

Damn, march’s a long ways. I also wanna know about the Vita versions… doubt I’d play these on the PS3, but they should look awesome on that tiny screen.

  • Ric Vazquez

So much hype for this I can’t even think straight

  • Steven Higgins

I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t eliminate the ghosting on scenes like Cid throwing Tidus. I always thought they were the result of the technological limitations of the time, but I guess they were intentional. Still, they’re a bit disorienting. It definitely looks 98% better though.

  • Lelouch Vi Britannia

this and “Tales of Symphonia Chronicles” a Few weeks later FFX/X-2 HD remaster. Both games are awesome. Still own them both.

  • icantstandthisindecision

This hardly spoils much; it’s been over ten years since X was released and near as long for X-2.

That said, is it more or did they re-do almost all or ALL of Hedy Buress’s dialogue? Yuna sounds much more refined and the voice acting sounds more talented.

  • Chido55

X and X-2 is two of the FFs that I missed and I am grabbing both for Vita. Surely I will enjoy both of them.

Good thing that I have evolved beyond the fear of spoilers.

  • César H. Sandoval

Spoliers ruining an old PS2 game? sounds like a first to me… It’s counting on the nostalgia fact of us wanting to replay those moments.
