they need to stop released games only on February I mean look at February games

      tales of symphonia chronicles

    • Doctor Nebula

No, keep them coming. These will become nice birthday gifts.

  • So is the retail release ONLY the holo numbered edition? Wonder if the retail release is very limited? Hope not.

  • Tatsumarii

    February? >__< YAR! OVERTIME AHOY!

  • Herok♞

Same day as LR:FF13, Dangaronpa and in the same week as Bravely Default it was nice seeing a physical one piece game at least once

  • TheExile285

      • Brandonmkii

Club Namco for north america. Keep in mind they do charge you up-front, but the charges disappear in a couple of days. (To be charged again before shipping.)

  • British_Otaku

February is REALLY packed now. Glad to hear that the game is going to be retail in America even if it may be hard to find, it has always been silly that you guys couldn’t get a game unless it was digital (apparently Sony’s policy in North America) without a dub till now.

    • What exactly is out in february? Lightning Returns, Bravely Default I know.
      Just curious.

      • British_Otaku

It was just a broad stroke nodding to games that other people are anticipating (Lightning Returns, Danganronpa, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Bravely Default).

I will be playing this in November and Bravely Default in December probably either For The Sequel or the European release.

I don’t exactly have any games in mind for February that I really want, but they will pop up and make me forget my backlog… So far, maybe the Kuroko 3DS game if a demo is good, otherwise, I’ll probably wait on most of them for a month or so.

        • To be completely honest I only care for Bravely Default out of all that people mention. Maybe LIghtning Returns?
Maybe I’m just getting older and grumpier but I see less titles interesting me as of lately.
In fact it’s hard for me to remember anything to be truly excited for in 2014… Metal Gear Solid V…?

      • TheExile285

        Tales and Daganronpa

      • SDDMN

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is coming out in February, and it’s my most anticipated game of that month.

      • kthanxyousuck

The last Professor Layton is also coming out at the end of Feb.

  • LunarKnite

Wow, really surprised to see this getting a retail release.

  • zferolie

*Goes to gamestop to reserve this ASAP*

  • Dsvkb

Never really got into One Piece, but this seems like a great place to start!

    • British_Otaku

      Hmm… >_>
I hear this is a rather weak RPG which skips a few arcs so even if it is one of the only games that covers a lot of arcs directly, I don’t recommend this as a means to start the series. It does have animated segments, but I’m sure you would have a better experience slogging through the anime/manga slowly or picking up a game with good mechanics like Gigant Battle or Gigant Battle 2, or the Unlimited series.

I guess it is up to you though and I don’t know the specifics of the problems with this game.

      • Devinja

What arcs does it skip? Also a good start for those who wanna jump in now is the Strong World movie.

        • British_Otaku

Skypiea (we had a long era where it felt no games had Eneru, this was part of it) all the way up through Foxy and I hear that Little Garden was shortened to a skit. I wish I had more than that but the boards seem to be pretty dead.

I suppose no crew members were added during that over 100 episodes of canon material, so it is a passable introduction for someone who wants to watch Strong World.

        • Rayhan PromisedGallery

Logue Town – summary only (smoker doesn’t even exist as enemy in this game)

          Whisey peak – summary only
Little Garden -Summary only (Mr. 3 also doesn’t exist as enemy or ally)
          Jaya Island

          Foxy arc

          Shabondy – summary only

      • Dsvkb

Well, I look at it two ways.
        1. This is going to be a really short run it seems like. So, I don’t really want to miss out.
        2. I’m not hugely interested in investing the time into the anime or manga as those go for quite a while if I remember correctly.

So, if the game looks good around release time I’ll probably pick it up.

        • British_Otaku

Fair point. The run is going to be pretty small, so you may as well pick up a copy soon and the anime or manga would be pretty long either way. >_>

Perhaps you could read a chapter a day of One Piece through the library, stores or less legal methods to catch up though? >_> When would you catch up? If you like it enough, you may find yourself reading 10 chapters in a single session to the point where, next thing you are going “OMG I HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK NOW?!” like I was a few years ago.

I hope you have fun if you do pick it up.

  • Spirit Macardi

Physical release is cool, but are we getting an English voice track as well? There’s no excuse not to include one now, since all the main characters have assigned actors. And it’s not like Namco hasn’t worked with Funimation before, since they dub all the DBZ games (and those are harder to do, since Goku’s actor lives in New York).

    • British_Otaku

No excuse? Perhaps they don’t want to put the time and resources towards that so you guys just get a NA approved version of the European release. I believe at least one DS Dragon Ball title happened to meet the same fate and on the other hand, games have been fully dubbed by FUNimation like Unlimited Adventure without the show being anywhere near Enies Lobby in 2008.

Considering that they are in a rush here, maybe you will be lucky to see Unlimited World RED in the future go for dual audio or an English dub (only to piss off people who can’t afford two systems).

  • Rinne111

I already preordered the European version I know for certain that this game is gonna be awesome:):)

  • Ganali Castillo

Well another game right on my birthday its like they want me to buy all these games….and so help me i WILL BUY THEM ALL

  • Nan
