I wonder how well the 2DS is selling compared to the other models. Have we had any info on that yet?

    • kylehyde

I don’t have the numbers at hand, but I read that the 2DS sales were about the 30% of the total sales from the 3DS family. I guess that most of the people still like the 3D, or maybe because the 3DS bundles were more attractive.

Considering how Nintendo handles their account system policy, I will always prefer the physical copy of every 3DS and Wii U games.

But you miss out on Club Tendo coins

      • Gillian Le Rouge

But each physical copy also has a Club Nintendo Voucher that always you to get the coins too (well for all US Retail Carts and a select few Asian Retail Carts)

      • Kefkiroth

No, you still get coins with physical games. There’s a Club Nintendo insert in every box.

        • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

You do know Im talking about third party games right?

  • gquain

why do they bundle the red game with the blue device and vice versa?

    • YouGusta

Because they want to watch the whole world burn.

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

Because guys like blue and girls like blue so they can get y

Can you close it? Or is it always open like that?

    If the latter, eeeeewwww…

    • Daru Titor

      It’s always open like that.
      That’s why I bought a 3ds XL on BFriday($150).

    • Mir Teiwaz

It does not close, it’s held like a tablet basically. Personally I don’t have a problem with it, but I can see where others would.

      • Byron Kerrison II

This is something I would not be pulling out on the Metro.

  • zweii

X on Red 2ds and Y on Blue 2DS. WHHHHYYYYY?

    • Zero_Destiny

Nintendo is a fan of irony? O___o

      • Tom_Phoenix

Or maybe a fan of contrast.

  • Arcana Wiz

Who is surprised? many know that the 2ds is the cheap version to play pokemon , to introduce more peole (kids it’s the target audience) who dont want to pay the price of a normal handheld(parents of the childs) :P

  • WingsOfEternity

$150 isn’t really that good of a deal. I was planning to buy a refurbished 3DS+ physical copy of Pokemon X/Y for the same price.

    • Mir Teiwaz

You get a brand new $130 2DS with a digital copy of a $40 game for $150. How is $20 off the price of buying those separately a bad deal?
