Castlevania And Muramasa-Inspired Platformer, AeternoBlade, Slated For January

Remember AeternoBlade, the Nintendo 3DS side-scroller that found inspiration in Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Castlevania? It’s nearly finished, and it’ll be available via the Nintendo eShop soon, the studio behind it has announced.

AeternoBlade is a side-scrolling action game that allows you to rewind time. If you screw up, you can reverse events in realtime, and them do them over again. This feature is demonstrated in a trailer for the game that was released last month, which you can view above. In addition to its time-reversal mechanic, AeternoBlade also includes a combo-customization system.

AeternoBlade will be available on January 14th, 2014 in both North America and Europe. Prior to that, Europe will see a demo of the game on December 12th, 2013. In Japan, AeternoBlade will be published by Arc System Works under the title Time Avenger.
