A free-to-play Initial D game is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, courtesy of Sega, this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine reveals. The game will be titled Initial D: Perfect Shift Online.

Details on Initial D: Perfect Shift Online are scant at this point, but from what we understand, your car will drive automatically, while you’ll be required to handle shifting gears up and down manually.

While the game itself will be free, items will be charged for. A beta test for the game will kick off in January, and the game will launch in spring 2014.
