Japanese Developer Intergrow Teasing The Project “S”

Intergrow, a game publisher in Japan, are teasing a new project, titled The Project “S”. A teaser website for the game depicts a samurai and a ninja-like warrior poised for battle.

If you haven’t heard of Intergrow before, they’re an interesting company because they take it upon themselves to publish a number of western games in Japan, in addition to their development business. While they were involved in the development of games like Elminage II and Elminage III, they’ve also helped bring titles like Mighty Switch Force and SteamWorld Dig to Japan.

It should be interesting to see what The Project “S” ends up being.

Please don’t be an iOS game…Please don’t be an iOS game…Please don’t be an iOS game…

What the hell happened to videogames? when did they decide that spin offs weren’t worthy of being on consoles?

      • Godmars

Its the publishers pushing for mechanics which actively interfere with the game development process. it happened with Lair and Sixaxis, Kinect and titles like Steel Battalion, just like its happening with many iOS games structured around pay to play.

They’re generally titles involving cheap production, yet the publisher if not the dev has to be cheaper. Structure things so that a “free” or $0.99 game could wind up costing $100.

That seem like a dick move.

  • Interesting picture, but… the “S” ruins everything.

    Yeah, I’m not feeling it.

I’m guessing the “S” is for “Samurai”?

The art looks really nice… Would be disappointing if it’s just a smartphone game.
