Konami Appear To Be Making Progress With Metal Gear Rising’s Region Lock On PC

Recommended Videos

It looks like Konami are making some headway on the Metal Gear Rising region-lock front on PC. As previously reported, Rising is unavailable in certain parts of Europe and Asia, with cross-region gifting disabled as well.

Yesterday, however, Platinum Games’ J.P. Kellams tweeted: “MGR Region News: Ireland is apparently in the clear, along with some countries in the Middle East. Still dunno about Asia. Waiting to hear.”

Last week, Kellams tweeted that he was aware of the region lock issue, and that, while PlatinumGames have no control over the region lock, Konami were “looking into it”.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is available today on Steam.
