Ultra Street Fighter IV Will Let You Upload Matches To YouTube

By Ishaan . January 24, 2014 . 8:30am

Ultra Street Fighter IV will let you upload videos for YouTube, Capcom have revealed. You’ll be able to select any match from your battle log of online matches, and upload it in low or high quality to your YouTube channel.

Capcom hint that more new features for the game will be revealed in the near future. Ultra Street Fighter IV is in development for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will be made available later this year.

You can catch up on some of the game’s previously revealed features in our previous reports on the game. Some of these include new stages, new characters and new battle mechanics.

This is cool for people who can’t really stream. In 3SO they had this feature, but it was always uploaded in 240p. If you can upload in HD, that would be cool. I wish ASW games let you do this.

  • riceisnice

    And nobody will watch them.

    • Kaihedgie

      Says who?

      • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

        The uninformed.

        • Kaihedgie

          Naturally :T

Wow, we’ve got a lot of know-it-alls in the comments today proclaiming their fortunes.

Lot of bunk, that. There are MANY people that watch things such as this on the Internet, from YT to Twitch and so on. Go on Twitch this weekend and look for this game and the streams if you don’t believe me.

  • ReidHershel

I’d be funny if someone uploaded a video and then got it taken down due to copyright ID.

    • subsamuel01

I think that might happen a lot, probably not from Capcom but Youtube stupid copyright system.

    • Morricane

Exactly my first thought when I read this too :)

    • d3v

That would be dumb considering that Capcom USA has already gone on record to state that they don’t do take downs on YouTube since they actually want people to post videos.

  • Monterossa

I’ll buy this, and this time we’re free from Game for Window Live!!

  • Epic Markell Joshua

More games should have this feature cough smash 4. This is pretty dope tho i need to get it on pc and learn how to play sf decently.

  • 하세요

That’s cool. A lot of data will be shared such as match-up details, priority moves, combos, frames, etc.

  • Go2hell66

no more need for overpriced video recording device yes!

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

      In this venture at least.

There is always need for those though. Always.

  • Just Tim

At least, this way, we’d learn from each others’ mistakes, while it allows us to catch up to par to Street Fighter lifers (read: players that started from the very beginning of the franchise).

  • Adrian Duran

Twitch would have probably been the better choice

  • RichyGaming

This is a nice feature, I didn’t even know this was possible. This should be done in more fighting games! Seriously, I wouldn’t have bought an Elgato Game Capture otherwise…

  • videoman190

YouTube feature is nice but a story mode would be even better!

  • Chris Cruz

    That’s pretty awesome.

  • Yorai Dragon

I do, this was actually one of my suggestions for added features. :) Though I hope it’s at least up to 720p.

  • DaiRaiOh

A lot of people. This sort of feature is actually really useful to anyone who runs a gaming channel, or wants to do so, and is also a good way of saving a great match if one has one

  • César H. Sandoval

Must unfunny cartoon in the world.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

I do. I up fights all the time in many things. A lot of people actually enjoy looking at things they’re not as good at or can’t afford. That’s the one good way to learn in fighting games when you’ve hit a wall – watching someone else do better.

  • AuraGuyChris

Problem is, a LOT of Street Fighter videos will be uploaded anyway. Unless there’s a master commentator everyone likes to listen to, you’ll have to hunt down competitive videos.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

    You’re must unfunny.

  • Godmars

Still, how long has this function been available yet it just now happening?

  • César H. Sandoval

Maybe Seth MacFarlane should give me a job writing for his cartoons, then.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

Well it’s been happening because people have to invest upwards of 100 – 200 bucks for a capture device or have a PC that is able to take the video during gameplay that is fast enough through something like OBS.

This makes it easier to simply export the data from a replay to video so that all kinds of people can do it instead of those who invest a lot of money.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

    K. Go ask him.

If you somehow manage to make it to him, lemme know what the food is like in jail.

  • Godmars

The options been there for the PS3 at least since its launch.

  • César H. Sandoval

I should be in jail just because I don’t like his show then? Or is it if I DARE to speak to the man?

I guess their fans are as unfunny as the cartoons LOL

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

    ‘unfunny’ yet ‘LOL’.

    Ooookay.

  • César H. Sandoval

I’m “loling” about you dude, I’m not saying you’re funny at all.

Maybe I deserve jailtime for that, too? hahaha.
