Square Enix’s Mystery Game, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Headed To Xbox One

By Ishaan . February 3, 2014 . 10:31am

Square Enix and Airtight Games’ murdery mystery game, Murdered: Soul Suspect, has been confirmed for release on Xbox One, in addition to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Microsoft provide a behind-the-look scenes at the Xbox One version today.

Murdered: Soul Suspect puts you in the shows of a detective who is murdered by a mysterious assailant, and needs to solve the mystery behind his own murder in the form of a ghost. While that might sound like Ghost Trick, the game’s design producer, Yosuke Shiokawa, says there’s more exploration in Murdered than that game.

Murdered: Soul Suspect will be available in 2014.

Square is still accepting MS moneyhats?

Square Enix just wanna be as hate as Namco Bandai are due to ToV.

Or they have yet to announce the PS4 version. Sony might have gotten them to offer it through PS Now.

If MS wants to invest in games then good on them I’d say. Better than shoving Kinect into every game. Japanese publishers are so afraid of investing in major console game projects, it’s nice if they can get support if this game really was funded by Microsoft. Knowing their history, it might be a timed exclusive though.

    No ps4?
    U no want money square?

I was wondering last week or two what happened to this game. There’s total silence since the E3 demo. I’m looking forward to this game.

If the only witness is the detective, then I guess you could say the murder…

    YEAAAAAA

Or you could say that the Detective was the soul (sole) witness.

Being reminded of Ghost Trick made want this game :P
From now I’ll keep an eye on the PC version!

Looks a little bit like Beyond Two Souls and the premise sounds a little like Deadly Premonition. I hope it is a good one. Expanding the scope and ambition of suspense games will be very interesting.

hopefully the story isn’t handled by cage…

I have a 360, but no Wii U?When I think investigation,I think Gamepad. It would keep track of all the evidence and you could organise your stuff.

being compared to Ghost Trick is far from a bad thing, that game was pretty great.

They might as well of confirmed this for PS4 at the same time. Kill two announcements with one stone. Im Eager to play the game but on PS4 because if it isnt there at launch it will be there later with all DLC in and be called the Definitive Version so lets just skip that step all together
