Yakuza Restoration To Include Japanese Athletes In The Game

By Eugene . February 3, 2014 . 4:30pm

As part of a sub-story in the game, Japan is adding in the faces of four of the country’s well-known athletes for Yakuza Restoration’s Ryoma to compete against. They are: Junichi Inamoto, Tomoaki Makino, Shota Hoshi and Takeda Nobuhiro.

They’ll form the Black Panther Express company, a group of black-clad dudes who believe in the power of their feet. You could be racing them through the streets to deliver messages as a nice little diversion.

Yakuza Restoration will be released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on February 22nd.

lol, aren’t these guys soccer players? I know they’re athletes but they’re not about running, they’re all about playing in the soccer field! But look at Tomoaki’s face. It’s so spot on! XD

But running is 80% of soccer.

      • Kumiko Akimoto

Yeah and 20% more about using your feet than football is.

You know I will never understand why Americans call football soccer and why American football involves using hands.

Haha funny seeing them in this but not surprised considering the Yakuza games have a ton of guest stars that would probably only be noticeable by people who watch Japanese tv like Dan Mitsu or in this case sports. Soon as I saw the thumbnail I was like “Is that Takeda!?” rofl. Would not be surprised if his best friend Chris shows up in this too as a comedy skit.

Makes me want to play now, hopefully the rumors of Atlus doing the translation for the series is true.
