Yakuza Restoration Demo Coming To PS4 On February 22

image PlayStation 4 launches in Japan this Saturday along with Yakuza Restoration. A demo for the game is out now for PS3 and will also be available for PS4 owners starting on February 22. The Yakuza Restoration demo will let players try out the beginning of the story and different combat styles.

Yakuza Restoration is set during feudal Japan and takes place in the same chronology with Yakuza Kenzan. The PS3 version also has a little surprise for fans that have the other Yakuza titles. So far, Sega has not announced any plans to localize the game or Yakuza 5.

If Sony wants me to buy a PS4 in the next year, they’d better see this game localized.

Is there any reason why we are calling Ishin Restoration but leaving Kenzan as is?

Kenzan will never be localized. Ishin has some hope.

  • Really hope this game gets localized… It just looks glorious. I’m a really big fan of games set in that era, but I think the fact it’s not a numbered title means it’s a good opportunity for Sega to really try pushing this franchise a little? Assuming it plays well, it really ought to be a hit, I’d think…

Sega assumed that if we didn’t absolutely go bonkers over Dead Souls simply because of the zombies (something they assume all westerners love), then we won’t care for Kenzan or Restoration

I saw a Japanese import (some Dynasty Warriors-type game) on the Live on PlayStation app on the PS4, so I can at least look forward to watching someone else play this for now.
