Persona 4: Dancing All Night Coming To North America In 2015

By Ishaan . February 25, 2014 . 10:02am

Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a PlayStation Vita rhythm game, that takes place after the events of Persona 4, and it’s headed to North America next year.

Dancing All Night takes place the summer after the events of Persona 4. Rise returns to Inaba, only to hear of a mysterious “Midnight Stage,” and checks a website for information on it, only to wind up on the “other side”.

At the same time, her fellow idols have gone missing, and so Rise enlists the help of her friends in the Investigation Team to help rescue them.

Atlus will release Persona 4: Dancing All Night in 2015. The game will feature 30 tracks to play.

    Was hoping for a 2014 release :/

    • Mirai

I think we should just be happy we got a release for this game as out of all the Persona games this one was the least likely to get localised.

  • chibiwall

As usally, psv is the last news :v

    • Kayseur

I agree it’s a bit frustrating (and I certainly think it’s somewhat unfair as well), but for once it’s understandable. Out of all the other Persona games announced, this one definitly is the least orthodox.

  • Time to get my dance on.

  • Kami nii
  • Manny Being Manny

This is the biggest Persona news today IMO, since all the others were a given to get a NA release. I really didn’t expect this one would be localized.

  • AlphaSixNine

Guess I don’t need to import. THANKS ATLUS!

    • Kami nii

“At the same time, her fellow idols have gone missing, and so Rise enlists the help of her friends in the INVESTIGATION TEAM to help rescue them”

So we WILL see Naoto :) and possibly playable too

      • Demonspartanx20

well i think its time for my wallet to cry from its vacancy, and for me to go into cryo sleep cuz i need these games and I NEED THEM NOW!

        • Kami nii

I feel you man but hey there still time to save up cash :)
I hate waiting so much time is soo slow when I’m waiting for good games to be released.

  • Jungo

If there’s a sequel, can it be Dancing All Night 2: Electric Boogaloo?

  • Monterossa

    region lock?

    • Kami nii

No man PS vita is region free :)

      • karldeck

        • Kami nii

Agree! I have 2 OLED and LCD love em both! :)

          • Serge

            Why do you have two?

          • Kami nii

one is for Japanese account and one for US, though that’s not the only reason I bought the LCD

          • Herok♞

if you have one for each region doesn’t that defeat the purpose of it being region free?

          • Kami nii

I play Japanese only games on the other and US only games on the other, I also want to compare their differences for my self because I don’t trust reviewers much also I use LCD outside the house cause it works best with sunlight while OLED at home I also want to have a spare if ever the other will broke :)

          • Herok♞

            I guess that makes sense.

          • Japan only PSN titles. No way around that unfortunately.

        • British_Otaku

A bit of a jump to call it the best portable ever (I would put the PSP, DS, GBA, GBC and so on ahead of it) but it is pretty dope from the features to the line up and being the last bastion of region free portable gaming even in the proprietary memory card and format form that it is in.

          • Shippoyasha

I think Vita is up there for me because of its sheer potential and the amazing screen. Add PS1 games, more emulation in the future, Vita titles, ability to play PS4 games, indie titles, it just has so much going for it. And I had a massive Gameboy, Gameboy Color, DS and 3DS library too. All those handhelds are legendary. But for some reason, I am very excited for Vita as a system. I really hope Sony keeps at it with even more powerful and capable systems into the future. Ninty too of course.

          • British_Otaku

I agree that the system has potential and a fine library that few acknowledge. I handled my brother’s one to download Valkyria Chronicles 3 because of the recent English patch and noticed dozens and dozens of awesome stuff on the PSN store, playing PS1 games on the go for those prices and some of the excellent ports and remakes of Persona + Disgaea mean that I wouldn’t be able to spend enough time with it.

Perhaps in a few years, when it gets even more Tearaways, Gravity Rushes and the like, it will be there. It is definitely a worthwhile system which I would own if I could budget to play all of those games… I saw Danganronpa in HMV earlier today and that’s one other big series I want to start.

  • chroma816

Gad we’re getting this, but what about Persona Q? No word yet?

  • Kayseur

Did they confirm a retail version? Since I’m not really sure we’ll be getting it in Europe or not, I’d like at least to be able to import.

  • Izzeltrioum

    ’bout damn time.

  • lordsofskulls

I am So…. Confused how to feel about this game…. as a Persona Fan… >.> i am glad to get any type game of Persona just sad to see PSVita not getting Persona Q.

o well i pick up all 4 anyway for Dancing, Fighting, Awesomeness Persona 5, and lil extra fan service of Persona Q ;3

  • Yan Zhao

2015 WHY!!!!! Oddly enough this was the game I was looking forward to the most out of the 4 new Persona games.

    • Magicks

You and me both… You and me both…

  • artemisthemp

I hope EU will be getting a psychical release of this game and not Digital Download only.

Note: Yes I know that, PS Vita is region free but, I have yet to find a way to access NA DLC on a EU account.

  • Slayven19

So they are giving us everything are they? Well guess I’ll have to get it now even though I didn’t really seem interested in it.

  • Warren

Cant wait! I’m playing this game with every character that’s available…except Chie.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    Get ready to dance

    • Kami nii

      This is Megidolaon cute!! :)

    • *^* Naoto looks so cute

      • Aristides

Very true, I dig the half jammies style pants. How did someone come up with that idea? lol

    • konsama

Holy Nyarlatotep dat Naoto totally outdo the others, tho yukiko isn’t that far either…

    • Arcana Drill

For one second i confused Naoto and Minato D:

    • Pdugna

      • Anime10121

        I vote in them…every…last…one of them…

    • Servant BerserCAR

Shawn, where I can find the hi-res version of that picture? I need it… for the sake of the world peace.

      • Ginko29

If you still haven’t found it, here it is in glorious HD :

        • Servant BerserCAR

Thanks a lot, man. The world need more people like you. :D

        • Demonspartanx20

We certainly do need more people like you in this world. I do not know how to express my gratitude, thank you lol.

        • Alex Webber

Awesome let’s destroy Naoto’s character because clearly acting masculine in any way isn’t proper for a girl…*sigh* Why anyone would give up their dream of being detective even part time for terrible job like an idol is beyond me.

Aww hell if they are going to do that to Naoto why not bring in the 3rd cast of females and make it a crossover might as well even though Aegis is a robot, Fuka would be too shy and Mitsuru would never need the money.

    • Anime10121

Mother of my dearly beloved GOD

  • DarkLight

Please be retail please be retail.

    • Kaetsu

I’m sure it will. Every Persona game that has come to west has had a retail release.

      • Arcana Drill

And atlus is really nice with portables, two end of life psp titles (growlanser IV and gugnir) had retail version.

  • Nerroth

They seemed to be late in uploading the English trailer for this one:

(Or, should I say, the “Engrish” trailer…)

    • Ricardo C

It surprises me why they didn’t put subs/captions. At least Square dose it.

  • DesmaX

    Step it up, senpai

    • DragKudo

should be bayonetta since she can dance and is a part of sega

  • This is the one I wanted. I’m SO excited.

  • konsama

That plot, and i mean the actual plot lmao.

  • easter

I don’t even care about the flood of negs, I’m more excited for this than Persona 5 cos 1) I don’t own a PS3 2) I’ve unfinished business with P4 and 3) CAN YOU IMAGINE THE STEP??

  • Michael Richardson

Nice. I’ll have played out Project Diva f by then.

  • Pdugna

Was so worried this game wouldn’t come, every other persona game was a given basically.

    • Ricardo C

Not Persona 2: Eternal Punishment though, it was a total let down it never got an English release. Its like Persona 2 is forever cursed :/

      • れいか

It was translated to english for the PSP :)

        • I think he’s talking about the PSP Eternal Punishment remake that hasn’t been translated yet. Eternal Punishment already came out for the PS1.

          • れいか

Oh yeah… well, I already played it on the PS1.. it was bad of me to assume everyone already played it lol

  • Kazekage Gaara

Naoto and Chie please……..and maybe Mitsuru and Aigis?! o3o

  • xzeldax3

I might pick up the digital version of this because rhythm games are good to always keep on hand!

  • Suriel Cruz

I like Persona series, but these kind of spin-off… *sigh*

    • The only way Rise was ever going to get any screen time.

  • Ricardo C

Looks like I wont import this after all. I hope they reveal the song list because this game would be a total waste if “True Story” isn’t included. Its my favorite song out of the Persona 4 songs.

  • We can get it down and bust a move on 2015. By the mean time, hope that Igor makes it as an unlockable dancer.

  • Ben Sylvia

Have to say the main reason I’m looking forward to this is because of how.. out there it is.

And for the chance to see Izanagi bust a move.

  • s07195

And it turns out that the inspiration for this game came from the P4G OP movie. XD

    • Anime10121

      Makes sense :P

  • Alex Webber

This is a dream come true for insecure Sega employees as much as persona fans are an awesome bunch of people their loyalty doesn’t allow them to seek the truth so they too are lost in the fog. Kind of cruel to treat a bunch of dedicated fans to a franchise as a bunch of suckers even if it is a viable marketing tactic to push forward your idol gaming agenda.

    • I actually find it funny that a lot of the same individuals who say complain companies milk franchises. Yet this? Everyone’s fine with this? I would be outraged as a fan. But I dont really care for the franchise as a game.

      • Alex Webber

Sometimes people think more is better but I know better from experience and unfortunately for me I am quite fond of the series so it would be sad to see it effect the main game. I may enjoy the series but I am no loyal drone if I see a BS practice I will call it. I know you may not care for this series but its better for everyone if we can put a stop to companies abusing their fans look what it did to Capcom.

People need to remember every dime and every minute of time put into both Arena games, the spins off and this money grabbing idol game could have been spent on a new Persona game.

        • I love persona as a story. I love the characters. But dungeoning the wsy the game does is not my plsying style. I can ser why people would love it tho.

          • Alex Webber

Ah that is good to know at least you can understand my gripe a little. Being honest I want to be wrong about this and for Atlus to prove me wrong but until I play Persona 5. I will stay negative that way I never get disappointed only surprised.

  • Prinny Dood

    No thanks

    • Whats wrong with a game made for the sole purpose of financial gain while loosely tying it to a pre existing story of over 60 hours of cutout characters and repetitive dungeoning?

  • awat

I wish we got this sooner than 2015 Q_Q

  • Göran Isacson

Wonder what it says about me that this and the fightign game is what I look forward to, not the cross-over between the P3 and P4. Guess I’m just a sucker for spinoffs.

Also: have they said if this game takes place after or before the Ultimax fighting game?

    • Ricardo C

No, this takes place after Persona 4’s true ending (or so I’ve read)

  • Vash bane

interesting another one is going to come over…i’m going to have to look this up (even tho I’ve still yet haven’t even started on the original…then again i’m far to lazy to even boot up the old ps2 lol)
