Here’s A Peek At Drakengard 3’s Other Intoner Sisters In Action

By Ishaan . March 3, 2014 . 8:30am

Square Enix shared a peek at their upcoming downloadable content for Drakengard 3 via Nico Nico, and an enterprising YouTuber (thanks, Game Jouhou) managed to capture part of the footage. The DLC, as reported in the past, will tell prequel stories that allow you to play as the rest of the Intoner sisters.

The trailer shows off playable footage of sisters Two, Three, Four and Five. While footage of One is missing from the recording, her DLC will debut alongside Two’s in Japan on March 6th. Two will be free for a period of a week.

Following One and Two’s March 6th release, a new piece of DLC will be released every Thursday, with the last piece of DLC being a prequel story for Zero, the game’s main protagonist. You can learn more about that here.

Meanwhile, in North America, the collector’s edition of Drakengard 3 will include the One DLC for free. Drakengard 3 will be released in North America on May 20th, and Europe will get the game a day later as a download title.

  • Zero looks interesting.

  • Tienron

so Europe is just getting some digital version….that’s disgraceful and eats up my ps3 memory….

    • Stephen Mc Devitt

Just imagine the price then since Square-Enix will be controlling the price for it’s digital games or maybe they will have a physical release for Europe with all the DLC in it but say nothing until everyone assumes there won’t be such.

      • Alestaos

More likely to happen capcom style after you just but the game in EU they release a “Ultimate Drakengard 3” with all DLCs and extras. Though you would have to rebuy all costumes for the game.

    • LightOtaku

I agree, I would’ve pre-ordered the collectors edition, but as it stands, Square’s getting no money from me…

    • artemisthemp

I agree and I am happy that my friend in Canada is willing to ship a copy to me.

The only thing keeping Square Enix from been Namco Bandai level is, that doesn’t release a superior Collector’s Edition in US and give EU some shitty CE for more than US pay.

    • Aoshi00

Yeah dlcs do hoard space, hope these aren’t too big, the muramasa ones for vita were small. actually the Drakengard 3 game has a mandatory install around 6gb too

  • neocatzon

Aw, no One here. Lol with Four’s ecstasy.

  • Mind0105A

    L O V E.

  • TheCynicalReaper

Considering One’s DLC is coming Stateside with the debut we can see these DLCs were made already and are just being withheld for money-sake.

Maybe if Squeenix wasn’t bogarting such incredibly important story/character related content as backstories/missions with each sister the ACT of killing each one would’ve had more impact than just “random cliche anime character, and now they go crazy for the second round”

But who cares about context and absolute emotional engagement?
Let’s squeeze more money out of the ghost of Cavia!

And none of this money is going towards the creator’s pocket either, so yeah

    • Kumiko Akimoto

Do you for square? Are you in the game industry?
Then shhh calm your illogical fanhate down,

  • Still hoping all regions get the DLC. Please make it happen Square.

    • Milewide

That would be nice, yes. But it’s not the end of the world otherwise. We euros can easily access the American PSN and download the DLC there. With sale’s tax being so high (at least in Sweden) it will probably turn out to be cheaper as well. Nothing to worry about. :)

      • Very true about accessing the American PSN. We still need it to come out of Japan though lol =P

        • Milewide

Uhm… eh… well… you give me too much credit, expecting me to think before I write a comment. *regret*

  • Warren

    Love it!
If anyone wants to see a preview of One gameplay, copy these words in youtube below. (SPOILERS THOUGH, If you don’t know about the game and are trying not to get spoiled do not go to it!!!):

I have no right to be as excited for this game as I am, but dammit, I’m really freaking excited!!

  • Michael Martin

Come on, SE, make some more of the collector’s edition. 5,000 sold out in no time.

  • Vash bane

interesting looking forward to two :p

  • Hinataharem

I’m sad the Collector’s Edition sold out before I could nab it. But oh well.

  • Göran Isacson

Huh. Now to wait a year to see if they release an ultimate edition that just gives us these things straight up on the disc, I guess… like, I understand them wanting to see how much money they can squeeze out of this in order to appease the profit-gods, but I’m kinda running out of space on my PS3 harddrive and would rather not have to individually download any more DLC than I absolutely have to. And this stuff seems like it would definitely help improve the story, what with being backstories for the antagonists and all…

  • psfam

Wish I could’ve gotten in on the collector’s edition before it sold out…
