By Ishaan . March 14, 2014 . 9:00am

Another character introduction video for Conception II is available for viewing now. Atlus have shared a video of Fuuko, one of the game’s heroines, who is described as a “a normal, down-to-earth girl”. Fuuko uses dual-pistols and frost magic in batttle.

Conception II will be available on April 15th in North America. Prior to its release, a demo will be available for both 3DS and Vita versions of the game. Europe will see the game sometime during Q2.

“For some reason, I was chosen to be an elite.”
I ain’t having any of that, Sweetie McTwintails. NO ONE in my harem is gonna be selling themselves short. Not even Serina, and she is VERY much, adorably short.

  • Kaetsu

I was kind of expecting her to sound a bit more like Rise(Laura Bailey) but I guess it’s not bad.

  • I pictured her voice being less mature sounding, but I like her and how she sounds.

    • Triplicity

Straight up why isn’t Kate Higgins using her Pascal voice on this one?

  • pixxxelz

comments complaining about her voice coming in 3….2…1

    • lunier

Tb, her voice is too deep for someone with pink twintails lol

      • harmonyworld

        it sounds natural, realistic.
        It’s fine!

  • Kornelious

Huh, i was kinda expecting her voice to be a bit high pitched, like some of Laura Bailey’s other characters…..But who cares! It’s still Laura Bailey <3

    • Kaetsu

I’m pretty sure this isn’t Laura Bailey.

      • Kornelious

Oh, my bad. I wonder who it is then?

        • Kaetsu

I wish Laura Bailey was in the game though. Maybe as Chloe but Fuuko seemed the most fitting for Laura’s voice.

          • Jettythesunfish

I’ll be completely honest, I’m quite tired of hearing Laura Bailey. She’s just overused, almost rivaling Wendee Lee.

          • Spirit Macardi

I don’t know if she’s THAT overused, but I will say that I wish she’d get cast in more roles where she can take advantage of her impressive vocal range and not just do her “cute” voice.

Lust from FMA is a good example of this, and rather ironic considering that was one of her very first roles.

          • Jettythesunfish

True, she seems to be sticking to that cute voice for almost every character she’s voiced. Marta (Tales of Symphonia 2), Rise (Persona 4), Chun-Li and Hewpoe (Klonoa Wii). I guess that’s why I’ve gotten tired of her; it was too easy for me to recognize her.

In her defense, I was at least surprised when I found out she voiced Lucina in Fire Emblem Awakening. So it shows she has range.

          • Kaetsu

Another great example of a recent, non-cutesy Laura character is Faye from Binary Domain.

          • Ash_Riot

            Um, Kaine anyone?

          • Kaetsu

            Nier is so underrated.

          • Spirit Macardi

Well, it’s not like she’s the only VA who gets cast for the same voice over and over despite having a ton of possible range. Just look at how much of Steve Blum’s resume consists of him using his gruff, gravelly voice even though he can do far more.

        • NeptuniasBeard

…Kate Higgins (Sakura, Pascal, chibi-Asbel, mother of my children, etc)

    • NeptuniasBeard

      Kate Higgins, my friend

  • Firion Hope

The most important thing I caught was in the comments, Famitsu gave it an equivalent of a 85/100! So Im even more hyped

Also can I just say her dual wield laser whip pistols are the coolest thing ever? k thnx

  • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

    Choosing her!

  • Jettythesunfish

Man, I’m seeing a lot of comments whining about “dual audio”. I’ll never get why people like this outright hate English dubbing…

    • Kaetsu

It’s really annoying. I saw on a forum that a bunch of people weren’t going to buy Persona 5 unless there was dual-audio. It’s ridiculous.

      • MrTyrant

Oh c’mon they are gonna buy it anyway. I don’t think that most people complaining do as they say.

        • Kaetsu

Well either A. They’re going to buy it anyway or B. They have never played a Persona game let alone an Atlus game because Atlus almost never does dual-audio.

    • Somebodyissilent

Because it’s cool to complain about it. Plus they get to read.

    • I won’t go as far as boycotting a game because it doesn’t have a dual audio option, but I definitely prefer games and movies in their original languages. I tend to watch a lot of foreign films and I always watch them in their original language, even if where I’m from people tend to prefer dubbed versions.

Moreover, Japan has a long lasting tradition of voice acting and simply injects bigger budgets in it than anybody else. Therefore, it tends to sound better. Here’s an interesting read:

“Moreover, Japan has a long lasting tradition of voice acting and simply injects bigger budgets in it than anybody else.”

Yeah I’ll agree. Japanese voice acting is more ambitious. When I look through the credits of a game, the Japanese cast is much larger than the English voice cast.

  • harmonyworld

    oh no….I think I love her….
    Ahhh! I don’t knooooow!

  • Ren Yuumei

I like her voice…alot, its just to low for what i through this charater was going to sound like.

  • Virevolte

Usually I don’t like pink-haired character, but the voice being rather mature, so I find Fuuko totally supportable.
I’d like to hear her japanese seiyuu to have a global feel of the character.

  • Rio Raze

I hope in the near future, ATLUS will release their next game with dual audio. But I will buy this game anyway, because I want to support this kind of company to keep bring this type of games to west… :)

    • Ritsuioko23

What is with people and dual audio?

      • AkuLord3

I know right, its like people want the option to hear their favorite VAs or something in games. HOW ODD AND MYSTERIOUS…truly these people are so hard to understand : p

        • Ritsuioko23

I dont care about Japanese voice actors. I like hearing Laura Bailey and Michelle ruff

      • Rio Raze

I just say that ATLUS will get more “money” if they put they dual audio in DLC or something. There is opportunity on that like they did on SMT: Devil Summoner. But I don’t force them to that..

  • Zoozbuh

I’m imaging this game will sell very well with guys… Just an inkling…

  • 00Rubio

    Pink is lewd beware!

The problem with japanese games with english dub only, is that the high pinch voice don’t go well. If you take a american game, the dub is excellent, because the scrip is for that language. Japanese games go well with japanese dub. The “original” normally is the better, with one or two exceptions.

That’s my two cents as a non english neither a japanese speaker.

Still, not buying the game because of the audio is not the right way. We need to speak that we want dual-audio. Namco never put dual-audio in there games, now it have, just need the time.

  • JMaster3000

    Got a 3DS but cause i’m a European i won’t get it.
    Digital <<<< Physical

Gonna wait till i get a Vita then import the US version myself.

  • Anesia Hunter

    … Someone please tell me there’s dual-audio.

(n-need… cute… voices… *cries over in the corner*)

  • Alex Webber

Meh you lot can have her my loyalty lies with monokuma chan.

  • Raltrios

Twintails? Frost magic? I think I may have to pick this up after all…
