Kojima Productions have shared a “Kojima Station” video feature that provides a look at Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which was released earlier this week, and the game’s launch.

The video starts out with a discussion of the BAFTA game awards, which Kojima Productions attended, and then moves on to Ground Zeroes in-game footage, demonstrating some of the different ways you can infiltrate the base you’re sneaking into. The footage is from a play session by a member of Kojima Productions that has the most experience playing the game, the staff says.

Didn’t someone beat this game in like, 10 minutes already?

    • Servant BerserCAR

Yep. And already beat this game 10 times.

I usually don’t expect such times until a month or so after a game is out. That’s pretty cool though.

        • GH56734

That means that one month later ther will be people managing to finish it even faster.. :(
Don’t forget this is a normal speedrun.

Speedrunners like Cosmo can now finish games like OoT almost with a time close to tool-assisted runs after memorizing all tricks.

I say this is pretty sad.

Speedrunning and actually playing a game are two different stories. I don’t find it sad, I find it neat to see how fast one can complete a game, especially when glitches are used. Amazing how devs can miss some things even after months or even years of testing to make sure everything is fine.

I don’t find doing speedruns fun myself but watching others amaze me. When there’s absolutely nothing on TV I sit on SpeedRunsLive and just watch.

30$ for 10 minutes, yeah, screw you Kojima

      • lol, that’s not the only mission. and you dont get a speed run like that on the first try either.

    • Naryl

yeah and then the game tells you “10% completed”. There’s more to this than the main quest. You unlock new weapons, get new quests, etc. People just like to complain, it COULD be longer of course, but it’s not 30$ for 10min.

        I know. There’s a difference between “Any%” and “100%.”

Looks great, can’t wait to play this game several times.

  • I am sick of people hating on this it is well worth $30 for a physical copy. It’s not like phantom pain is coming out next month. There is a long wait till then.
There is the main mission, 4 extra ops and the console exclusive extra op so 6 missions. Depending oh how much you replay them to get better scores and unlockables you could have 20 plus hours logged. All people seem to focus on is the main mission that you have to be insanely good to do a 10 min speed run, average players will take 1-2 hours to complete.
Peace walker came out April 2010 on psp so it’s almost been 4 years since a new MGS so $30 for some brand new MGS while we wait for phantom pain is nothing.

Well, to be frank, the people that were expecting a lengthy game didn’t necessarily get a lengthy game (after the cat was out of the bag for the length for Ground Zeroes, everyone was on the fence). I suppose the target demographic for this was for the fans that were yearning for a metal gear game, call it Kojima throwing a bone to the fans while we wait for phantom pain which is going to be a while obviously. There’s always the option of not buying the game, its not like someone is forcing you at gunpoint to purchase a relatively short game. I for one, had no objections buying gz, you had to live under some rock to not know that you can finish it in a sitting, also, that didn’t stop people buying zone of the enders who wanted to play the mgs2 demo that you can finish in a heartbeat.>.>
