    The PSO2 one was better.

I was hoping for a Titan boss when I saw the title …

  • pixxxelz

Still waiting for a full fledged AoT game..

    • British_Otaku

I guess both the Feng Lee tribute game and Attack on Titan 3DS game don’t count, or is it has to be officially licensed and has to be localised?

      • revenent hell

I’m going to assume the person wants an official licensed and localized game.

I think the only issue with importing the games, as well as many others, is understanding the story. But if you know the story from the manga I think most things can be inferred if one really, really wants to play it.

But isn’t an Attack on Titan game out or coming out for Xbox One or 360? I see those adds for it all over the place at any rate…. I’m really not a follower of Attack on Titan since its art style isn’t a winner for me but with the commercials and ad’s for it popping up on most sites I kind of learned more about it than I cared to.

        • GH56734

Maybe those are for the English dub for the anime? You know, “TV”.

          • revenent hell

Oh, I didn’t think of that. But I could have sworn they said “play” in the commercials…
Well, I don’t/didn’t really pay a lot of attention to them so I could be wrong.

Edit: but it was “video Game” graphics as well…. So I don’t think it was for the “anime” to be honest……. Unless im highly confused and they decided to play a different game in the background while talking about Attack on Titan….

          • GH56734

No problem. could be a false memory.
AoT’s anime did have CGI (cheap enough to look like a PS3/X360 title), a lot. Seeing it on the Xbox, it’s highly likely to make the association.
And I wouldn’t see an anime game/”chara-ge” on a console that’s still unreleased in Japan. Regardless of the anime’s popularity, as long as it’s not Naruto/One Piece, it’s rare to see existing titles localized. Much less created from scratch for the foreign audiences (barring Shaman King gba and Kinekt DBZ)

          • revenent hell

Yeah , I am going to have to go with you on this.
But next time they play that ad I swear I’m going to pay attention to it! Though, funnily enough I haven’t seen it air as much lately. I swear it used to play every other commercial ( to the point it actually started to irritate me) and now its almost non existent

        • British_Otaku

I’m sure they want an officially licensed and localised game, but assuming that the fan game continues to be updated, it will stomp any official title to come as far as action goes and not every game is going to be localised.

Ideally, I want my games localised and I know the majority won’t import a game for a number of reasons, but understanding an action game is pretty painless in a foreign language – or you can rely on dozens of other importers to translate things in guides for you -. The types of folks who usually want an anime licensed game, usually have strong surface knowledge of the series as well.

        • JonathanisPrimus

You’re thinking of Titanfall, which has nothing to do with Attack on Titan.

      • Ferrick

        didn’t the latter bombed?

        • Rayhan PromisedGallery

Most people who buy it says they’re not really satisfied by it. Like clunky combat and weird final boss, and other stuff.

So it’s more like it’s bombed because of name only

          • Ferrick

yeah, i heard that as well

and isn’t bombed = flopped in sales aka low sales?

          • GH56734

No it didn’t bomb, it stayed in the top 20 for several weeks, enough to make Namco with some of their recent handheld releases envious.

It did however disappoint some, because of the short length, the polish job, the over-reliance on QTE, and content cut for DLC. It was a typical average anime videogame, decent but not quite living to expectations of people wanting Spiderman with melee and titan dodging.

          • British_Otaku

“Short length” only if you judge a game by the story campaign alone… The game is pretty beefy if you look at World Mode in addition to the story mode (which is yes, a mixed bag).

The content “cut for DLC” was free for nearly three months after the game released, 100 yen each (only two after that point) and always available through the in game store (not limited to stores, retail copies or buying a hamburger/strategy guide). I would call out every single game I know with DLC long before this one…

          • British_Otaku

More projection from people who haven’t played the game, I will agree on many things for the game. Combat is clunky and that the game is unpolished, even that some importers like ShonenGameZ isn’t very fond of the game, I can see good reason to like it more than UWR though. >_>

        • British_Otaku

No idea how a cheaply turned out rush job of game in comparison to Unlimited World RED outselling Unlimited World RED is a bomb…

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    Attack on Titan Collaboration EVERYWHERE!!!

  • Pinwheel

  • SetzerGabbiani

    It’s literally everywhere….

  • J_Joestar

So is it basically recycling the stuff from 3G? I recall they had AoT event stuff in the Japanese version.
